Why can’t I change my stored payment information?

For security reasons, payment information can only be stored or changed when a payment is being processed. If you would like to change any stored payment information or store a new payment method, you can do so when making a purchase by choosing to pay with a new payment method, entering the new information, and choosing to store that method for future use.

"For Security Reasons"?

This is so much a joke. Before that, i could enter my Card Data and be done with it, but i have to buy something to enter the same card again, after it mysterously vanished out of my account, on putting up the new payment system?

Way to go annoying a longtermed Premium holder....

If you are outside of the US you need to actually buy Lindens to get your details added to your account. It can be the minimum amount or you can use the "increase credit" link and put US$ onto you SL account which will get used to to pay for any fees (such as premium membership or tiers) and the balance charged to your newly added payment method.
