i'd suggest you open the knowledge base about Marketplace and start reading.

to your third question: create it, or resell items made by others that are transferable.

Just to add one small but very important qualifier that may be obvious, but you never know ....

Just because an item is transferable does not mean necessarily that you have the right to sell it as if it were your own product.  You have an instance of the item, but the creator always retains the intellectual property unless she has provided a waiver that transfers it to you or gives you a limited right to sell it as part of your own creation (this is common, for example, among those who create full-perm mesh components for other creators).  I suggest reviewing portions of the TOS and Linden Lab's Intellectual Property Policy that define your rights and responsibilities.
