Maybe I haven't been looking at the right ones then because..LOL. Any suggestions?

Not anymore. This one is like super old. I bought it about a year after I started so 2008ish and I don't think its even up for sale anymore. If you hunt around there are some interesting ones that mix flex and mesh for a pretty neat effect. I think Truth hair has a few like that in their discount section.

- Avi's without AO's ( The duck waddle is just....lord....Why doesn't Sl give some sort of AO starting off???)

Somewhere at LLs there is a guy waddling around the office and wondering what the problem is...

Pretty much the same list, plus:

  1. Texture stretching. Like you wanted this great texture on the face here, but it applied the same texture to the side face there, which is stretched or squished...
  2. Prims not lining up... If I can see through cracks in the walls of your build... my OCD just can't handle it.
  3. Guys who's bits are not a matching color. Guys who's bits remain 'limp' while 'in use'... O.o
  4. People who have such high complexity scores that all I see is a colored blob.
  5. People with t-rex arms or 'wide load' butts making fun of anyone else's avatar... because... mirror...
  6. People who walk around with their feet in 'heels' pose while barefoot.
  7. Those bare jewelry for feet that come in a heels pose, when that kind of footwear is only logical for flat.
  8. People that wear a lighthouse on their nose so they can find their way to shore or something...?
  9. Nudist venues that are 'strickly 100% human only' and then tell me I can just snip off my tail... Like... as long as we're snipping things that dangle between legs...
  10. Places that put something in the search advert, only you get there and a notecard arrives saying that is not allowed. I'm looking at all those RP places that use words like 'neko' or nude' or whatever...
  11. Seeing the hands on my avatar splay out because I hit on a non-bento animation and for some reason the last bento anim that had posed my hands has stopped.
  12. Being in a XXX place 'on the furniture' and some bloke is wasting my time with interview questions like he's applying for a job and I just want my avatar-porn because hey... that's why I went there. 🤓
  13. Being in my SL home minding my own business when I start getting the 'hey baby' IMs...
  14. Being in my SL home minding my own business when some bloke starts clicking on me or trying to pose me... or give me a job interview...
  15. People who put prim land on top of water in water sims. Like... why did you spend L$40,000,000 for a 256m plot on Blake Sea only to cover up the water? That's like buying a fancy new car and then removing the wheels and engine...
  16. People who sell ANYTHING as Maitreya exclusive, or Catwa / Letuka exclusive. Ya'll ain't never heard of Belleza or Omega? Especially if it's outfits that expose the body underneath a lot.

hmm.. marketplace demo mesh items that state they fit a classic body avatar and clearly don't (they must lose a LOT of sales that way)

I cant seem to find boots or shoes to fit a classic body avatar anymore.. cant get the new prim stuff to fit.

When you are on a treasure quest mega prize with 10 minutes to go and you get the 3 minutes to logout notice..🤬

Featured sims or special shopping sims that ALWAYS seem to be full whatever time it is (maybe i am just unlucky)

REALLY laggy  sims.

Destination guide does not seem to be updated frequently enough, there are listings there that dont exist inworld anymore.

Getting ejected or banned from sims without reason.. and the naughty poses are still going at the safehub you got ejected to lol

You mean mesh, not prim, right? You are basically stuck with everything that has been made up until 2012/2013. I think shortly after that, the first mesh feet became popular and as of today, there is no market for prim shoes anymore.

Search for UNRIGGED BOOTS in the MP.  Since they aren't rigged, you can reposition them.  You'll also likely need a foot alpha.  I don't remember if I have a Transfer one or not, but I can point you to some MP freebie books that come with a foot alpha that you can then re-use with any boots.

People who have obviously spent a lot of time and money on  a mesh body, head and clothing for their out-of scale, unrealistically proportioned, high-complexity  monstrosity of an avatar that keeps sticking its tongue out and flicking its fingers uncontrollably!

and as chibiusa mentioned above >Gachas<. Might just be me, but my brain is incapable of assigning any value at all to Gachas.

To me that's sort of gambling, which I don't do ever. Not even lotto tickets. I work too hard for my money & lindens to be sucked into that wonky stuff. ¬¬

I love my pets.

Gachas - Yeah.  Mostly I'm too chintzy to spend money on something that I have no control over the outcome of.  If there is a Gacha item I want, I'll just peruse the MP for the resales of it.  I will sometimes by a lotto ticket in RL - when the pot gets really high, but I'll still only spend a few bucks on it.

  • The price for mesh heads (I'm just frugal...this is not the only price I have an issue with lmao)

  • Flexi hair (why does it move like that???)

The price of mesh heads does astound me, but the market supports it.

Other than the CI associated with it, flexi hair is sooooooo much better than mesh.  If done right, the flexi hair will move with your body, whereas the mesh will always look like plaster on your head.  The downside to flexi hair is that it doesn't recognize the physics of the body and thus will move right into the body.

Ditto with flexi pieces on long dressess for dancing.  Nothing more dorky looking that a mesh dress that is not a clinger, thus would 'move' in RL when dancing, and instead the whole bottom bell moves as a single glued together piece.  I don't do near the dancing now that I used to do because, for me anyway, much of the joy of dancing was watching my dress moving with me and now, with mesh, it just looks stupid most of the time.  I've always loved dancing, but I also love flowy skirts/dresses rather than the clingy kind - and only the clingy kind look okay dancing these days.

OMG this drives me totally bats**t crazy.   Ditto if the textures don't line up right.

Regarding the clingy skirts and dresses matter...has this come full circle?? I remember last time, system skirts were generally considered to be the devil, but I liked the fact that they would never fall through chairs and table legs and so on. I had a few very sexy pencil system skirts; I had a system skirt shape that I edited to allow for the fact that system skirts like to inflate you to well past the Sir Mix-a-Lot level, and well-textured system skirts looked great in it.

I haven't got any mesh skirts or dresses yet though. I do remember the lovely swish of my old stuff.

funny, but so far I only met one girl who's name made sense in Cyrillic usually the mix of Arameic and Cyrillic gives them away as "wannabe font" just a reminder "Я" is "ja"/"ya" and I will read it and call you that way... ;) JUSt be glad there are no Spartans around who punish you for defiling their iconic Lamda, Λ (capital lamda for Lakedaimon, their mythical founder of you ever wondered about the Spartan shield design), as an A ;)

I never liked the system skirts much because of the way they made the butt huge (requiring a special shape just for them) and they stretched weird in the front when moving - worse than the mesh pencil skirts do.  I do like nice pencil skirt outfits, but not for dancing.  I never liked the flexi skirts/dresses when sitting, specifically because of that 'fall through your legs & chair' stuff.  I did have a script that I could put in that would keep it from falling, but then it ended up keeping the flexi pieces up at too much of an unnatural location.  I always wanted the flexi pieces to recognize the physics of the avatar and thus drop to the lap but not pass through that.

I pretty much just ignore anyone with odd character display names.  If I address them at all, I will use their actual username.

I agree.  Flexi skirts are made for women who never sit.  They are great for women who dance, though, far superior to the rubbery "wet suit" look of mesh skirts.  I made dozens and dozens of flexi skirts, experimenting with the shape and overlap of the prims and with the flexi parameters to create skirts that flow nicely and that flare out properly when you twirl.  When I found that you can't do that with mesh, I gave up clothing design.  My creative talent is really in scripting anyway, so that gave me an excuse to do what I am best at.  Still, I do miss those flowing flexi skirts.

Yes! I didn't realize how important flows skirts were to me until I a little while ago. Me and Frank's used to be a near nightly event and I was always ready to explore new formal dance places. A few weeks ago it occurred to me that I hadn't been in aaaaages. Problem: too few swishy skirts. Seriously, I used to go and dance alone if no one asked. There was something practically ASMR about the experience.

My pet peeves...omg so many over the years! Just to name a few:

  • The price for mesh heads (I'm just frugal...this is not the only price I have an issue with lmao)

This is why I bought my mesh head from Mayreal

  1. MORE quality than the tops brands.
  2. 1700-1999L in price head depending.
  3. But... more complicated HUD you have to spend time figuring out. Basically she crams 1,000,001 things onto a single panel small HUD. You have to click this to enter that mode, then click that to select what, then this for how, and that for do... She could use a new UI/HUD designer... but her mesh heads are the BEST. And the Janet is the ONLY head I have found that does good African and Latina shapes... While I use another for an Asian alt. Just like other brands they're all base designed 'Caucasian looking'... (/sigh... There is an African head from Angel Rock but I didn't like the looks it gave me, they looked exaggerated, but maybe if I spent more time with it), but these adapted very easily to other looks.
