I recently downloaded the latest viewer but can't get my media to play. Could I get some help?

Okay, here's the situation. I've been stubborn for quite awhile and haven't upgraded to the latest viewer. Finally, I decided to do so in order to be able to stream media again. However, even with the latest version of the viewer, I can't seem to get it to work. I've checked all of the settings and everything seems correct. Media screens go white, then buffer, the go gray and remain that way. Anyone know what steps I can take to resolve this?

I did install the latest version of Quicktime, yes. Still no luck.
