You can go back to the previous viewer by downloading it from http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Supported_Viewers & you will know for sure then whether or not the problem is related to the latest update.

If you decide to stay on the previous one until the next update, make sure that you switch off automatic updates in your preferences or it will just update you again.

If it does turn out to be viewer related you can check the JIRA (bug tracker) to see if the issue has already been reported and if not create a JIRA yourself.
