If a Region uses a Fixed Sky instead of a Day Cycle in it's Environment settings, is there any way to simulate or system made on the MP that you can use to have the cycle of the SL day in a skybox on the Region?

Thank you for any help you may provide. :)

Right now you can use parcel windlight in Firestorm and other TPVs. This will not work in the LL viewer.

The Lab is currently working on EEP (Environtment Enhancement Project) that will allow anyone with a current viewer, including the Lab's own, to do it. That is still a while off, although I am sure they really want to get it out this year. EEP has a heap of new features too, like being able to replace the sun and moon texture, make the sun and moon travel in any direction, even reverse them. You will also have 4 layers of skies that you can set, so the ground level can be very different from the skybox level.

Hi there Oliviatoms,

You should check out the Environmental Enhancement Project (EEP) which we have just released as a project viewer.

This new system will allow you to set skies and day cycles on a per-parcel basis.  It will also allow parcel owners to set different skies at different altitudes.
