lands Is it possible to find a land that no longer exists?

Hi everyone, does anyone know what is happening with lands that can no longer be found on the map? Linden lab removes them completely or they are simply renamed?

I don't understand how it works... Sim was called: "Lake Wank"

both...

private sims that are sold often are "required" by the previous owner to be renamed and moved.
If a sim is abandoned back to LL it mostly gets taken offline and simply disappears.

Also when not renamed/moved, a new owner will most likely totally build it new, and remove the old design ( if it was transfered, most sims go empty)

That region went offline in July 2016 http://gridsurvey.com/display.php?id=16252

According to the other forum's thread on deletes and renames, it was removed from the grid completely and not renamed.

"Fanny Pack" is another one that is a bit out of sync. Perfectly acceptable to Americans, a bit of a chuckle for some people in the commonwealth.
