Can you give a URL for media that you can't play.

Yeah none of those videos will play on any viewer that has the latest round of media updates.

I don't know whether this will be fixed or not.
The Linden comment on BUG-225354 says that "Second Life is not supporting embedded .mp4".

I have a feeling this may be a licensing issue with the wrapper used to playback certain embedded media files.

  • 4 years later...

This feels like the rest of life. We had more freedom in the past, and everyone is limiting everything at every opportunity.

I wasted hours trying to do something I've done years ago just to find out that support, has been dropped.

Starting to believe that features like this were intentionally nerfed rather than dropped from support. It isn't like these file formats changed.

4 years later...  everything changes.  support for old formats gets dropped for better formats.   dates on topics are also important.
