Asking people to do something for you in-world will almost never get a response. It would be easier if you just post this link: https://my.secondlife.com/jixxur 

As for IMing you in-world, the same thing applies. Better to ask them to send you a private message here. Then you can share your web profiles and even offer friendship right there on the web. No need to even be in-world (except for accepting the friendship offer). As for finding friends, there is a lot to do in SL - go do what interests you. That's where you'll fund the people who like what you like.
