On Region Restarts

Regions will be restarted if they have been running for more than 14 days on Tuesday (Main Channel) and Wednesday (RCs) regardless of whether or not new code is being deployed, for the general health and well being of the Simulators.  Nothing beats turning it off and then on again … once in a while.

As always, please plan events around these maintenance windows.  However, if you are hosting an event on Tuesday or Wednesday when we’re not deploying new code, you can restart your region ahead of time to avoid interruption.

The RC regions I get notifications for both got different memos. Is it double whammy day?

Also, it seems only BlueSteel regions went to 18.08.24.519036 while Magnum and LeTigre went to 18.08.30.519222, which aren't listed in the Release Notes with any data.

I can confirm that the LeTigre RC sim Wirtz is also running 519222, so what happened to 519319?

Still no comment from either Caleb in this thread,  or the Lab on the GSP as to why the published server version was NOT rolled to the RCs this past week, nor any indication of what the content of the actual server version rolled WAS.  If this was to circumvent a very late-discovered security exploit I'm not daft enough to ask WHAT, but just some indication of WHY would be nice.

Does ANYONE actually know what the reason is?

Thank you for raising your concerns and apologies for the late response. It turns out that we were in fact wrapping up testing a late fix with this channel  on 18.09.04.519319, and it was our intention to deploy it last Wednesday. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. We will include the additional fixes that came with 18.09.04.519319 in our next Wednesday roll.
