Who am I? 

I'm Luna. So far, I've made it to level 31, on my way to level 32. lol

I'm a friend to those whom see me as one, lover of Mexican food, former host at various clubs, including Demonic, and The Jukebox. Been a host, text escort (both freelance and "professional"  or whatever you call someone that works at an escort club), CSR/Manager, and other things.

I generally look like an elf, not because I am an elf, because I don't want to fully fit in, I enjoy that I stand out from other girls, despite just being another girl. Will you find me rocking black? Will you find me wearing jeans? Will you find me at all? That's up to the winds of change and the sands of time. lol It also depends on if I'm busy working or not. But, I try to be friendly no matter.

I’m Rem (short for Remy). I’m not new to SL but I’ve not been here for a few years.

I registered my account a few months ago but only recently got around to using it. It didn't take me too long to figure out how to work everything again which was cool. But... most my old landmarks have gone and, well, so have my old friends. I’ve spent a few days checking out Bellisseria (which is loooovely   ) and just earlier I finally got myself a houseboat which seems like a pretty good base for the time being.

So yes, making a fresh start. I have some ideas for building some stuff and doing some scripting with the aim of making a kind of gallery / art space / experience that incorporates sound (I produce electronic music as a hobby in RL) and interactivity. And maybe I’ll make some stuff to sell too. However I only really know prims, Blender seems pretty difficult to get into! I’ll be sure to check out those forums anyway.

People... well I’m not looking for a relationship here, I’ve done that before, and it started to take over my life. But of course I hope to meet people and make friends. I’m sure there's plenty of groups for that, I just need to find the right ones. As always with SL there is too much to take it all in and sometimes it's a case of finding a needle in a haystack.

I’m not online lots but I am lostware Resident in SL and always appreciate a chat. Also I’m on Flickr although so far I’ve only posted 3 pics.

Hey everyone! I am super new to the forums. I've never really tried them before. I've been in SL for a long time. I can't even remember how I discovered it. I just started playing more often again recently. I am a Canadian girl! I live with a cat & dog. I work full-time as a IT professional. I'm close with my family, have a great bunch of friends, both in RL and SL! I'm never bored. Want to know my personality type? It's INFP, for what it's worth! haha.

In SL I am a Grey Elf / Faun hybrid. I am just starting up my own roleplaying community. It's something I've never done before in SL, so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm really hopeful that it takes off. I love to landscape, decorate, create unique things from full perm templates made by other awesome creators in SL, explore, check out music events, and so much more!

I'm a sweet, nerdy 28 year old in RL who was drawn to SL after watching an episode of CSI... 

On SL I love to explore, shop, listen to music and dance.  I'm attracted to conspiracy theories like Ancient Aliens, Bigfoot and ghosts. I don't like horror movies, which is just bizarre as they tend to have all of the things I previously mentioned. Documentaries make me excited and I love all things cute!

Call me Fia. I'm back on Second Life after and ready to have fun. I used to really enjoy clubbing but I don't think that will be a repeat preference. I'm not sure what will catch my fancy this time. I'm a lot more chill these days and am probably just going to enjoy chatting, meeting new people, and sim hopping. 

In Second Life right now, or maybe forever I'm a spider. I like spiders, which I've been told is a rarity. The real, physical me likes to cook (eat too) and am an animal lover. I have 1 cat and, as of four weeks ago, only 3 arachnids (RIP Blackberry!). I'm 29 and a bit of a weird-ball, which is far from a bad thing. I tend to like people who are themselves and a bit weird too. I think I'm open-minded and friendly. I'm also a bit spacey, so don't mind me if my awkwardness seeps out on occasion.

My point was there is no such thing as generic First Nations words or language. Each tribe has its own language with similarities to related tribes such as the Dakota, Nakota and Lakota.

In RL, I'm a polyamorus asexual with libertarian political views that practices satanism with their odd views on spirituality.  I do have a current primary partner who is the exact opposite of me that I've been with for four years (29/11/16.).   I work as a adult site description writer and a creative ghost writer when I get work offered to me, I own two dogs, a service dog, a cat and two ferrets at the time of this posting.

Though I'm a straight female, I am very liberal and open to making friends from all walks of life. I like meeting new people and chatting with them from all over the world. I'm 27 years old. In RL, I am an artist and LOVE painting. I'm into nerdy stuff such as Comic Cons, anime, etc. I like dark humor too.  In here on SL, I can be nice and keep it G if asked. I am respectful of children and people who want to keep it clean. I don't mind being adventurous and try new things at least once on SL. In addition, I really enjoy dancing in SL as well as in RL. I like any kind of dancing from clubbing to dances on beaches, to a calming, sensual dance to some stupid, bizarre dances to make people laugh. 

On here, I explore anything from G contents to adult contents so I'm open to different options. I do find it that it's harder to make non-sexual friends than sexual ones though. Therefore, I'm interested in places about where you can have an easier time finding non-sexual friends. 

I am also looking for some better accessibility around here that are more visual-based and not audio-based. I'm deaf in RL so I don't use voice chat features and that kind of things. In addition, if you're a DJ player or a musician on SL, I ask you to supply lyrics to your songs. It's more accessible for me. I'm  really am into music as well and am a musician myself. I do like it that I can feel the vibration from my computer and feel them. I'm not into building stuff but if anyone on here has the skill to do so... can you provide a "captioned" lyrics screen for the public? In addition, give them the choice to open and close that screen in their software viewer that they're using for SL. Also, find a way to make voice chats captioned as well. I'm quite certain that this feature wouldn't just benefit deaf residents on here but others who prefer reading or are older and have troubles with their hearing.

I've learned that you will find yourself exploring many places. Most not so helpful or friendly. I wanted to change that. I started out on another account going on 12 years now in second life. Gestures were the funnest thing I ever seen & heard as a newbie. Yes I too fell victim for playing them often where ever I had gone. So that's what I learned first. I owned a inworld gesture store did pretty well. I am still selling them today now in the marketplace. Then bloodlines came along. Yup been there done that. I joined the builder brewery & got to meet all kinds of interesting people that helped me start building. I learned how to make animations, Audio files, texturing. I can create prims to mesh. I have done many gatchas at that point. I took a long break after that due to real life. Then decided to create Aeri Xaris. She was intended to be a back up account for my builds. But seeing how much was changing at that point I jumped on the band wagon!  One thing lead to another. My old friends did not have our old hangs out that we used to love anymore. The simplicity of just being yourself with out so many judgmental people. Ohhh and don't get me started on the MANY rude sim owners that had a crap ton of rules that would ban you for the oddest things 🤷‍♀️

So Maximus was born. Was a tribute to the former Hard Alley - Retro ville by Hard Rust & the lovely Spirit. Welp that's about all I can say about that<--- snickers    I would love to see you stop by & lets be friends!

Hmm, how did I overlook this thread?

In SL I'm Lewis Luminos; short and ginger (being a ginger guy is SL in Hard mode). I joined SL on my first account waaay back in 2006 because I read on the BBC website that U2 were doing a virtual gig in-world and I wanted to see it. Apparently I missed them, lost interest after a while and didn't come back until 2008 with this avatar.  Music is still the focus of my SL life though; my partner Madison and I have been running our own vintage-focussed jazz club for the past seven years and I still love it. If I'm logged on I'm usually either at my own club or in someone else's. I also like to explore, usually on horseback or under sail, and I enjoy landscape photography. I don't do much photography of my avatar though, mainly because I am shopping-impaired and always look the same. 😁

In RL I'm short but not-ginger, British, in my mid-fifties, and still (when not forced to stay home due to global pandemics) like to visit pubs and clubs listening to old music. Married with kids and a grandkid too now. THAT makes me feel old but I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm also a writer with four complete first-draft novels under my belt, two of which I'm trying to polish up sufficiently to get them self-published. I usually write fantasy of one type or another but I dabble in science-fiction and steampunk too.

You're not getting a RL pic. You'd only be disappointed.

So I keep it nice and short. I am 2 months in of playing SL. I love bowling and going to the different clubs on SL. I love all types of music except Hard Rock. I am looking for new friends and one that I find is helpful is by having house parties and asking ppl to bring someone new. *ahem* Greetings and salutations! I'm Charlotte Whimsy (formerly Lethe Soldumaagh, and even more formerly Lenora Firesong lol). I am a proud SL resident who generally goes back and forth between the fairy and steam realms, and everything in between. I (speaking as my typist) have been on and off of Second Life since 2011. This account has only been here since Aug 2017. Full disclosure, I burned my previous account because of a shameful love triangle I was involved in. I'm never doing that again, lol. I am in a much better place now mentally.

I frequent The Faery Crossing, Rosehaven, Caledon, Solar Moons, and too many nature/scenic sims to mention. I am a Bellisserian shapeshifter. I say I'm a shapeshifter because that takes less time to say than "I can't decide if I want to be a human or a fairy or an elf or a mermaid or a faun or a drow or a pixie or a crow or a dinkie bunny."

I use Second Life as a creative outlet. I love spending hours putting together outfits, organizing my inventory (a virtually thankless and pointless task), and rearranging my living quarters to soothe my ADHD. I really like to "inspect" things and find out when they were made, who made them, who placed them, and what these people are like. I stalk profiles a lot. I love learning about the history of Second Life, almost as much as I love learning about the history of real life! And you bet your buttcheeks I go see SL replicas of historic buildings, towns, and cities. To give you an idea of how much I love history, I recently dropped almost 6000L on a gacha that contained a historically accurate Saxon dress and apron set. 

I have a particular affinity for occult decor. I used to identify as a witch, but these days... I honestly have no idea how to label myself. Regardless, I fantasize about being a forest witch in a cottage with my beloved. This fantasy bleeds heavily into my Second Life. Also, I'm, like, super into celestial art and Art Nouveau.

I've seen others here mention their favorite music. I love folk music from all over the world, but usually stick with pagan/New Age stuff. More mainstream, I enjoy rock, 70s funk and soul, classic R&B, Fleetwood Mac (they really deserve their own genre), and classical (Romantic and Baroque). My two favorite bands/artists are Dead Can Dance and Aurora. I grew up influenced by late 90s through 00s music and culture, so I'm a sucker for that stuff as well. But I was also influenced by 70s music and fashion because of my awesome mom and aunt.

My name is Phloc.  Although I’m a noob I was actually born in 2007 and enjoyed SL for three or four years.  After wandering in the RL wilderness for 10 years, the Lindens have kindly allowed me to rejoin with all the old stuff I accumulated.  Why did I return? - Loneliness?  Unfinished business?  Boredom?  Curiosity?  Higher purpose?  Learning?  - Really a combination of all these and more.
It’s always been fascinating to me how we come to be who we are, not genetically but environmentally:  What was the chain of events that led to me being THE me that I am and not someone completely different.  I’ve devoted many years in RL to research driving a taxi on the night-shift.  Granted taxi-driving isn’t the only occupation that interacts one-on-one, face-to-face with 5 thousand humans each year but it does allow a unique perspective on society in a couple of respects:  First:  most other “people” occupations only deal with small sectors of society - nurses with the sick; cops with criminals; bar staff with drunk party people - but the cohort of taxi passengers is a random cross-section of the whole society.  Second:  in the time BSP (Before Smart Phone) people travelling in a taxi generally had nothing much to do for the duration of the trip and a driver adept at striking up conversation could delve deeply into the interests and history of just about everyone.  That was especially true at night as the taxi was a warm, dark, intimate, anonymous space - the sort that that encourages candour in anyone inclined to chat - rich or poor, young or old, married, single, female, male, company director, builders labourer, scientist - it didn’t matter.
Empirical observation informs me that I and every one of you are the product of all the choices we’ve made over the course of our lives and, importantly, that we make 90 percent of them before we’re old enough to know we’ve made them.  Childhood choices I made left me a “Loner” for much of my life.  I’m also curious; I’m caring; I need to matter; I need to help; I’m confident; I’m competent but above all I’m lonely.  Coming back to Second Life I’m hoping to find others I can talk to who’ve noticed things about the human family they find it difficult or controversial to explain to “normal” people;  others who feel a need to share and debate their knowledge, understandings and conclusions in a non-judgmental friendly, safe space.
I’m also certain that choices made when we were very young were made to please those we depended on for survival and are the reason (as Theroux put it) "Most of us live lives of quiet desperation”.  As children we couldn’t make the positive, self-affirming, supportive choices needed to create the framework for achieving all we wish in life but we can do so now, at any age, with a little help and guidance.  So I’m hopeful that people who’d like to achieve better outcomes or simply to chat about the difficulties re-doing those early choices will say hello and talk with me over a cup of coffee, on the dance floor or by a fire and maybe accept my help to leave any residual toxic shame behind and move on.  I started a group many years ago called “The Phloccers” and those who wish to stay in touch are welcome to join.

I guess I am still considered new to SL with so many people that has Rezzed years ago. 3 months in and I am still learning the game. Currently hosting at Fallen Angel BDSM and love the music and ppl there. Recently bought a house and occasionally throw themed house parties just in hopes that ppl will come so that I can make new friends and have fun. 28 in rl but realizes that doesn't matter in SL because I am still to young to get into places. hi everyone!

I'm still pretty new to SL, about 3 weeks now. I"m 32, a veteran, and formerly studied and worked in fashion. I'm also gay and black irl. So far it's been fun exploring bits of SL - especially museums! People compliments my avi fairly frequently, so maybe I'll start up a fashion blog once I get a better handle on things and build a portfolio of brands I like to wear. 

IRL I enjoy reading, cooking, hanging out with my friends (back when that was a thing). I love LOVE music and recently started learning to play the keyboard. I also speak French fairly decently, so always up to chat in French. Spanish and Italian speakers will have to be a bit more patient as it's. been years since I've used either regularly. I'm in New York if anyone is from the area and wants to commiserate our current condition. 

I'm one of the coronavirus joiners lol, though SL came onto my radar last year sometime. Mostly my time is spent shopping, but it's getting a bit lonely and trying to meet people in gay clubs has been fruitless. It seems a lot of people are on the forums, so figured I'd try here.
