Use Linden grass texture?

Question

I want to use the Linden grass texture for a region on some objects of my own, so they match. I can see the texture in region information. Can I reuse that texture? How?

Never looked but is it in the inventory library?

It should be in the Inventory Library, in the Textures -> Terrain Textures

The library grass is a close enough match, although not identical. Thanks.grasstexturecomparison.thumb.jpg.6ea9d0c2102944103ad62df40253c1bb.jpg

Near, library grass on a prim. Far, Linden ground texture grass. Good enough.

Can't terraform in Kama City, so have to do things like this.

Textures applied to a prim often look different from the same textures applied to ground, avatars, or mesh objects.  It's a matter of how normals are arrayed on the surfaces, among other things.  In this particular case, it also looks as if the texture on your prim has a different scaling factor than what's on the ground.

Yeah, try rotating and scaling the texture to see if you can get closer.

It's not the same texture. The library texture is slightly darker and won't match exactly at any scale. But it's OK.

Just curious as to which of the terrain grass textures you chose.  I think that the "Islands - Grass short" texture (in the Terrain Textures - Islands folder) might be a bit lighter in color than some of the other grass textures.
