Three new road bridges between Chalets and Newbrooke are to be found at the south border of SSPCamp MontezumaSSPWiggleroom Gardens and SSPStarling Moss. The only other previous land link was at Josie Banks, further south-west.

The river depth has also been partially deepened along this stretch of water. I estimate it now to be 2 metres deep. The bottom of the new road bridge is 4 metres above the surface of the river. However, the water is still only waist-deep in SSPObladi and SSPDing Dong.

All three road bridge routes align perfectly with existing road intersections found on the northern borders of these three respective regions.

Found this QA pin next to the railbed in SSPLakota Prairie... not sure if it is too marshy or not marshy enough. Road the rails from Lavon in the Chalets to SSPThimble Pond Farms, the current end-of-the-line in the Newbrookes.

Also... the Sojisan regions now have somewhat transparent orange bumpers at a higher altitude than before. Also, it's snowing up top. They clearly not done as at least one rez zone in Sojisan NW is not turned on and some QA markers about.

66645467_Newbrookeexpansion26May2022.thumb.png.7938dfd3b79694132699173060cc3a75.png

Thursday 26th May 2022 - Eleven new Newbrooke regions have been placed down the west side of Newbrooke!

They appear from the west end of SSPThimble Pond Farm (the west end of the railway line) and continue south down to Dooright. They appear to have terraformed coastlines too! The eleven new regions are named:

SSPOlive Branch , SSPBanjo Serenade , SSPTarn Feathers , SSPHedge Fun , SSPShakewell , SSPBlind Duck , SSPLehmans Find , SSPSummer Igloo , SSPDashaway , SSPCrosseyed Bear , SSPSome Pig

I took some pictures of the new west coast of Newbrook. The first is a 360 degree view of SSPOlive Branch.

SSPSome Pig.  It's clear there's going to be more regions added to the west coast here.

Sob....  apparently I don't have permission to view this 360 photo, even after logging in, but I did enjoy your other 360s.  Happy to see the photos above, very nice and I hope to visit more of those locations tomorrow.  Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks for letting me know. It was accidentally set to Private. This has since been corrected.

This is curious. - The parcel was SSP2728 and is now "Isles of Langerhans" on the west coast of the Fantasy Home regions. It has some kind of texture change scripts in it.

I just did a Google search on the name. Islets of Langerhans are cells in the pancreas that secrete insulin.

That blue thing has a script in it called "AVRS Scene 4.0"

AV makes me think of audio visual, so I would guess it's some kind of special effects device that produces Fantasy region sounds and visual effects, possibly water and wildlife sounds. Or weather. Hmm....

*shrugs and prods it

Clicked it. It turned purple! (Eek!) I clicked it again it turned back to blue. Phew!

Answer: Its a blue to purple changey thing.

*runs*

Giant insulin aside, the main thing is they seem to be naming and clearing the borders on the fantasy coast regions. The ones with houses aren't released yet, but some are looking ready to go (region name, no border, everything in place). Lots of edge work everywhere at the moment.

Newbrooke's new west coast has appeared on the inworld map. As predicted, the Newbrooke railway track is being extended down this new coastline to the south.

I predict that the railway line is then to be extended into the southern Chalet's to it's Hydrant region, where there's already track waiting in place....

^ Hydrant

....by adding in some theoretical new regions.

Oops... Sometimes there are Newbrookes on BOTH sides of the shallow river, as is the case in SSPSiddhartha

Thanks for sharing this.

A canal location would be amazing, I luv those steps down to the water. Will be a possible coveted location for sure

Here's another idea similar to Diamond's and Sarah's

92685606_SakuratoNewbrookRailConnection2.jpg.131f7b028d0b301dc20c7ffdbd0ac51d.jpg

I think the subcontinents of Sakura and Newbrook/Chalet Homes will be separated by only 1 open sea region wherever the railway connects them, and this connection will be an underwater tunnel. I'm hoping for a clear tunnel with fish and seaweed visible through it. I think there will be another such tunnel eventually connecting Sakura with another region south-west of it, which will in turn connect to the Log Home regions at Moose Tracks.

I'm curious why Jolly Serpent doesn't have a Japanese name? If the serpent refers to the train track, then maybe it will run underwater at this region? Maybe the region where it lands at the Chalet Homes or Newbrook could be called Serpent's Head and the region where it connects to the Log Homes could be called Serpent's Tail?

Why is the woman lonely and the serpent jolly? Do these 2 region names relate to a shared legend?
