There are these radar huds folks have..you can put someone's name in it and it tells you when that person logs on and off even if you  dont have them on your friend's list.  IF you arent online it sends you an email.  How do you keep someone from being able to do that?

You can't.  It's trivially easy to find out when someone is on line, even without those handy devices.

What you can do, if someone is bothering you, is Mute them.  They'll still be able to know when you are on line, but they won't be able to communicate with you.

If you have land, you can also ban them by name from your land.

It's really easy for them to know if you are on if they can see what groups you have also..They just join one and see who is online at the time.

That's just one of the few ways they can see..

There is an easy 4 step way to do it.
First you find out where they live in Rl.
Then you get a spade.
Make sure you have a very very stable alibi.
And then ... you know what.

You just need to not care that Joe Blow knows when you are online or not.  Block/Mute them and continue with your own SLife.

I actually have one of those Av Detectors rezzed on my land with the name of all of my accounts in it.  One method in helping me to know if anyone else has managed to get access to any of my accounts.

Did you... actually just suggest that Lil must be a man because she's too clever to be a woman?

Seriously?

Might want to take a look at this list before you go suggesting that women are incapable of being clever: https://www.wonderslist.com/top-10-famous-women-scientists-in-history/

ETA: And while you're at it, have you ever seen this famous image?

That's Margaret Hamilton. Might want to read about her, too.

I am going to take the high road here and assume that you are just being a smart-ass, attempting some sort of bad humor, and thus did not really mean to imply that I must be a man simply because I'm smart.

O-kay... so let me see if I can understand the bizarre reasoning behind this response...

Investigation:

1. Someone with 'Fiona' (a traditionally feminine name) as part of their username responded with a 'confused' emoji to a post elsewhere on this forum, wherein someone joked that people take things too seriously.

2. You infer that LittleMe Jewell must be a man because she's too clever to be a woman.

3. I call you out on that.

4. You post the above in response.

Conclusions:

1. Either you are suggesting that 'Fiona' (aka: feminine name) must be stupid because she's confused by a jokey post. Ergo: women are stupid.

2. I am taking too seriously your 'amusing' inference that women cannot be clever.

Summation:

Your 'joke' fell flat. Better luck next time.

ETA: And since Lil has now responded I'm leaving it there.

A long, long time ago....

Someone noticed that an edible plant was growing profusely in a region the band passed through every whew-gasp (their word for Summer) on their annual trek following the mammoth herds. That person had the idea to gather and save some seeds from the plant and then scatter them in an area closer to where they spent the shiver-brrr (their word for Winter).

I'm pretty sure that person was a woman, since the women were probably tasked with gathering plant food while the guys were out chasing the mammoth and lying to each other.

That's how Agriculture got started. That seems pretty clever to me.

Since others are already taking you to task over this, I will, like Li'l, give you the benefit of the doubt.

I sometimes find it beneficial to let a man think I'm not as intelligent as he is. There's no surer way to avoid suspicion.

That's incredibly arrogant (unless it was a joke, but there's no indication of that).

Intelligence, knowlegable, and smartness/cleverness and three completely different things. They are not mutually exclusive but they are often thought of as being different words for the same thing. A lot of people mistake knowlegable for intelligence, for instance.
