Not like rl.  This is a good point Cindy.  Thank you for bringing it up.

In real life you can see the person, read their body language, look them in the eyes and know what they are thinking.  In fact you can look at them and pretty much know what sex they are and how old they are In second life, none of that is possible and in fact, many profiles insist that no rl facts will be provided.   So the opportunity for deceiption is very high in sl and what I am saying is that there is a nefarious culture within second life that exploits this ability to deceive to win people's affections so that they can be manipulated for lindens or ego gradification without regard to the true consequences of their actions on the other person.  This can result in serious injury for some people and that's why people leave second life.  It's ......that word I said.

You know, a couple days ago I was randomly researching old game shows online and I found one called "Camouflage." There was a simple line drawing of an object hidden in this complex cartoon and the contestants tried to find it and draw its outline. As they answered the questions parts of the cartoon were erased until it got easier and easier to see the object.

I think I'm beginning to see the picture...

If socialism isn't working then why is a capitalist business opening stores in a socialist country?

Socialism ISN'T working, so the Communists are trying state run capitalism. But it will end with disasterous results.

Forced resettlement is a key plank of communism, and the leaders plan to forcibly move millions of peasants from their farms to the big cities to work as laborers, but when the bubble bursts... what then? What happens to all of them?

https://economyandmarkets.com/economy/china-is-a-disaster-waiting-to-happen/

I have also shown how China has moved rapidly from 30% to 53% urbanization in the last decade.

And I have spoken of the Chinese government’s double-down plan to move hoards of its rural people into the cities so it can achieve 72% urbanization by 2025. That’s just 12 years from now. And that’s 250 million more low-skilled people dragged off their rural farms and dumped unceremoniously into high-rises in cities.

China is an economy on steroids beyond compare!

How are those rural migrants going to compete?

How are they going to afford an apartment in the city that has the highest price-to-income levels in the world? I’m talking higher than London or Tokyo?

The answer is quite simple: they won’t be able to compete when the government-driven gravy train of endless building and construction jobs slows as the global economy continues to contract ahead.

They won’t be able to afford those apartments, or any services, or even food.

Can it get any worse?

So what? They can build ghost towns and still lend you money, ... who has failed now?

The Chinese are on the verge of a collapse that will make our financial crisis of a few years ago look like nothing. Even socialists can't force a bubble to expand forever.
