AzkadelliaDarkwood
Hello, i was looking at the land Auction and was trying to figure out once you win a land in the auction do you pay tire to it in the sum you won the bid at, or is it now yours and you no longer have to pay anything for it? 0 Rolig Loon
When you own land anywhere in SL, you always pay monthly land fees. Always, every month, or you lose the property. The amount that you paid to buy the property is a one-time purchase price. This is just like buying property in RL: You pay a purchase price and then you continue to pay property taxes and utility bills for the rest of your life. 0 Lindal Kidd
There are two costs associated with Mainland (three, actually, counting Premium membership). Your Premium membership dues, paid monthly, quarterly, or annually. Premium membership is what gives you the right to own Mainland The purchase price. This is a one-time, up-front cost. This is the price you pay when you win an auction. (Or if you buy the land outright, by clicking the "Buy Land" button in the About Land window, on a parcel that's for sale.) Monthly tier. If you own 1024 sq. meters or less, you don't pay any tier. But if you own more than 1024 sq. m., you pay a monthly fee on it. The tier table is here: https://secondlife.com/my/account/landfees.php
