Hi, I hope I'm posting this in the correct place. I'm currently having an issue when I try to play Second Life. It gives me an error saying that my graphic drivers need to be updated... But I already tried to update my graphic drivers by downloading & installing the lastest version (from here) and the issue persists.

I also tried 3 viewers: Second Life Viewer, Firestorm and Alchemy and same issue in all of them:

PzkdcnL.png

I don't understand why this is happening, I was able to play Second Life on my laptop by using the Second Life Viewer when I created my account, but I had to reinstall Windows and as far as I know, I always install the same driver for my graphics card after reinstalling Windows.

My graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics 3000... I am able to play similar games such as The Sims, then why Second Life isn't working for me?

I hope someone can help me! Thank you in advance!

Edit: Apologies, I have just seen this post. I'm going to try it and I will let you know if it fixed the issue.

I followed the steps, and nope, still having issues:

You should be able to run SL on a Windows 10 system with Intel HD 3000 graphics.
You will only be able to run the 32bit viewer versions however.

For the LL viewer: Try the 32bit download from http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/5.1.6.516459

For Firestorm: Use the For SL only 32bit download from https://www.firestormviewer.org/windows/

If the 32bit Firestorm gives you the same error, you will need to apply the Intel Fix

Note that you shouldn't actually need that Intel Fix on the new Firestorm 5.1.7 release though.

I have the same problem with @AdrianT95.The difference is that my pc has windows 10 -Intel core duo CPU E7200.

What should i do to run second life?

If you only have Intel graphics, I think that's going to be Intel Bear Lake graphics, which may not run recent SL viewers, but I'm not 100% sure.

Can you post a dxdiag report for your system?

Hi, I keep receiving mails from this thread. I have just unfollowed it because it's kinda annoying...

Wishing good luck to evi, I hope you can fix it. In my case, I got a new computer the last year with a Nvidia graphics card and SL runs well :)

Hi I'm new to SL and now having this issue.

I'm on a laptop and running windows 10 home. Pentium dual core cpu t4500 processor and a mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family graphic card.

I'd just like to know if I can even run SL on this laptop. Or am I able to update the graphic card driver to a better one?

The best drivers for that chipset are the Windows 7 drivers, Intel didn't make Windows 10 drivers for it. In my experience, you can install the Windows 7 drivers on 10, but it still won't run SL. Even if you can load the drivers and get SL to run, it's going to be so bad on that computer you'll wish you hadn't.
