Scammer Threat Email

Hello all. I know it's been a while. But this email just crossed my email inbox and .. well .. I knew it had to be shared. It's a scam of course. I know this because I don't have a webcam and I don't watch porn (on this machine anyway LOL). But I know the warning goes here because it was sent to my SL Email Address and referred to me as "dgothly - 1f4792da"; a mix of part of my email address and part of my SL UUID.

So without further ado, here is the scam email body:

Lets get straight to the purpose. Neither anyone has paid me to investigate you. You do not know me and you are probably wondering why you are getting this mail?

Well, I placed a malware on the X streaming (pornographic material) web site and do you know what, you visited this website to have fun (you know what I mean). While you were watching video clips, your browser began functioning as a Remote Desktop with a key logger which gave me access to your display and web cam. Right after that, my software collected all your contacts from your Messenger, FB, as well as email . Next I made a video. First part displays the video you were watching (you've got a nice taste lol . . .), and next part displays the recording of your web cam, and its u. 

You get just two solutions. We are going to go through the solutions in particulars:

1st option is to ignore this e-mail. In this scenario, I will send your recorded material to almost all of your contacts and thus imagine concerning the awkwardness you can get. In addition should you be in a romance, how it would affect?

In the second place choice should be to give me $1000. Let us refer to it as a donation. In such a case, I most certainly will asap erase your video footage. You will continue on your daily life like this never happened and you never will hear back again from me.

You will make the payment via Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search for "how to buy bitcoin" in Google).

If you are making plans for going to the law enforcement officials, well, this e-mail can not be traced back to me. I have covered my moves. I am also not trying to charge a fee a lot, I want to be rewarded. You have one day to pay. I've a special pixel in this mail, and right now I know that you have read through this mail. If I do not get the BitCoins, I will definately send your video recording to all of your contacts including friends and family, coworkers, etc. Having said that, if I do get paid, I will destroy the video immediately. This is the non:negotiable offer, that being said don't waste my time & yours by responding to this message. If you want to have evidence, reply  Yes then I will certainly send out your video recording to your 14 contacts.

 

Let me repeat .. this is a SCAM! If you or anyone you know receives such an email, trash it and go on happily.

I think everybody how I know would be a bit more happier what kind of porn I watch. because they think something much worse then reality.

Have you passed it on to any law enforcement? If not, you should. There's probably nothing they can do, because it'll probably originate from another country, but it should be passed on anyway.

That btc address has no balance and no transaction history. So at least no one has fallen for it yet.
