Are Raffle Parties in Violation of TOS?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if raffle parties are in violation of the TOS?  We hold weekly raffles for $100Ls an entry, the boards select the winner of the prize.

I think if you charge for them they are the same as sploders.  If everybody gets their entry fee back in the prize then its ok I believe

Thank you Cindy, no everyone doesn't get their money back only the person who wins the raffle gets the prize.

Thanks Phil, do you have any reference why this would be against the gaming rules?  Not challenging you, just wanting to read your basis for your opinion,  so I can see it.

What about let's say an entry fee for a race?  People pay to enter not everyone wins?  The racing requires skill, but the outcome is chance.  What do you guys think about that? Just want to be legit in what we are doing

Racing with paid entry for a pot prize is literal skill gaming. So no, you can't do that either.

As you describe it, very much against the TOS.
