Is it me or the event category is basically a dump?

I want to know what constitutes an 'event' in the context of the Events Calendar , because this to me is not what I'd think of as an event.

When I think of an event, I think of something that has had time put into planning and organizing, it is a significant, unique occurrence.

This user seems to think an 'event' occurs every hour of the day, which I disagree with, this to me is not an event, it is just the daily schedule of a club. There's no big event here, these are the things they're doing every day.

I get why a club owner would want to put as much as they can on the events Calendar, for promotion sake but I feel like these sorts of promotions belong elsewhere personally.

So, you think only BIG events should be listed and all average everyday events should be banned from the list? People shouldn't be able to plan their excursions to these events days in advance? How about just do away with all of the listings all together so only you will be happy. 🙄🙄

Yeah alright keep your panties on. I was only saying someone should actually define how this is supposed to be used, because it doesn't match how I'd expect it to be used.

What you expect and what SL NEEDS are not the same thing. LL isn't going to cater to one person's demands.

They also don't bother moderating the events either.  We here on the forums get censored for soooo many words it's almost laughable.  On the events page, even though their own rules states as follows, there is definitely Adult rated events posted with words AND nudity...

The event descriptions need to conform to General guidelines, consistent with the overall Second Life website policy - so no overt sex descriptions; sex for money, sex chat, simulated sex, strong violence, or anything else broadly offensive.

1/2 the events listed are sex for money clubs.  Is that really an Event?
