System Won't Let Me Purchase Item

Hi.

I'm trying to buy this mesh body:

For some reason I can add it to my basket. But when I click "Buy Now" I'm thrown back to the marketplace home and the item remains in my basket.

Any ideas?

hi there. I am guessing what you need to do after you click Buy Now is scroll WAY down to the bottom of the page. You will see a Place Order button. Click that to continue. When your cart contains only free items, Linden Lab offers suggests of other items for you to add.

If it is an L$0 item, then 'Buy Now' will still end up on that other page filled with recommendations and you have to scroll to the bottom to then click the 'Place your order' button.  You can only avoid the spam by using 'Buy Now' on non-freebie items.

 

As Lindal mentioned, the Buy Now' option completely bypasses processing the cart, thereby anything you had previously put in the cart is still there after any 'Buy Now' processing, so you need to watch out for that.

Yep, that page of additional item suggestions that hides the actual purchase button has puzzled many people!

In addition, you need to understand how those yellow buttons work.  There are three:  Add to Cart, Add to Cart as Gift, and Buy Now.

Buy Now takes you immediately to the checkout page.  There is no need to ALSO click the Add to Cart button.  In fact, you probably should not, because then when you go to check out using your Cart, you could wind up buying the same item a second time.

Add to Cart does what it says...it puts the item in your shopping cart.  You can continue shopping and adding other items to your cart.  When ready to check out, click the Cart icon to go to your Shopping Cart, and follow the purchase procedure.

I don't recommend combining items for yourself and gifts for others in the same Shopping Cart.  Buy them separately to minimize the chance of delivery problems.

I think it also does when you buy a full cart of 0L stuff.

Yep  - Basically if you don't actually spend any money, then you have to deal with a page of spam.
