Ive hardly had SL but, I recently got maitreya mesh body so I can make my avatar look good. I also got omega systems so I can change the human into an anthro. All I remember is I clicked a button in the omega program it made my character look like the have rainbow pants. I never wanted that texture. I dont know what broke but it goes away when I unequip the maitreya mesh body but it comes back when I equip it. Ideas?

so at some point you must have bought an applier for your maitreya body that made the skin change to the texture we see on your top. You need to reapply that. what you might try, rather than possibly trying to trouble shoot is just get a redelivery (or open another copy) of your Maitreya body and start over applying the skin etc. I am not in world at this time of day, but your welcome to shout if you run into issues and I can try to help when I am in world.

In the mean time though you need to find the applier that changes your skin to what you want and maybe grab a new copy to start fresh with.

I actually just realized that I had it downloaded as an object, So I deleted every thing with omega in it and her thing. I unpackaged and the rainbow is gone! Now I just need to figure out how to get a texture / skin appliers onto the model! Thanks!

I tried used Omega Advanced Skin Applier too apply it and it didnt work. The two I got from the market came as objects so I went to build<upload<bulk and made them into textures. I opened the file and replaced the UUID with the images but nothing happened. Any advice for me? Sorry again if it might be simple, I had the game for 4-5 days now and it's a little iffy to get a hang of right away.

P.S I dont know if the 'Omega System Kit - Maitreya' will work because it had like update/reset and something else. I didnt really see it as the one that would work but i'll probably be put to doubt!

To apply a skin or other texture layer to the body, you need either (1) an applier for Maitreya, or (2) both an applier for Omega and the Omega System Kit for Maitreya.To remove a skin from the body, just apply a different skin or select a preset skin from the Maitreya HUD. To remove an applied tattoo or other layer, go to the Layers page in the Maitreya HUD and click the "clear" or "hide" buttons.

I tried but nothing happened. To make it clear what Im trying to do is. I have a top and a bottom. Both are objects, But I also paid a little so they can be bundles and be textures. So I have two versions two as objects and two as textures. I tried to equip it but it wont over do the human skin that it starts with. Im trying to use the model that came with the mesh editor but use a skin on it. So same model just dont want it to be human.

Also the objects came with an auto fitter but it doesnt do the lower half. For what ever reason.

OK, according to your screenshots what you have is a system skin (which will not work on a mesh body) and a set of textures, but it's not clear what they are. I don't know what you mean by uploading objects and turning them into textures. Can you show us a screenshot of the textures? Now, I look up Mooncat Vanilla in the Marketplace and I find this, which says that the package includes textures for the head. It also says that the item requires the Curious Chinchilla avatar. So, I can't find any indication that it will work on a Maitreya body with any applier system.

I can't help on the issue at hand, but just want to note one of your most recent screenshots: the one for the 'Top and bot textures for the model'. If you had to pay for those textures in order to get the UUIDs, then you're effectively sharing those UUIDs with everyone for free, since the file names that we see in that screenshot are the UUIDs themselves. (In other words: might want to blur those out?)

I see that you ave the Omega systems relay for Maitreya. That is good.

It can not assist you in applying textures from your inventory on mesh body parts. The relay need an applier to work with.

But if you will use the textures you show, the creator must put them in an applier first. Or you must get an creator pack, The Omega Dev kit (they are free) and make your own Omega appliers. Tutorials are here: http://slpoweredbyomega.com/instructions/dev-kit-instructions/

Dev kit is here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Omega-System-Dev-Kit/6070969

You need the UUID for the Mooncat skin, if you want to create your own skin applier. Or ask the creator for a premade Omega applier. It is ways to retrieve the UUID via a backdoor that I am not going to discuss... it is not legal but some defend it if they only use it for themselves and don't sell the UUID. It is like "fair use", they say. I have not heard LL agree to it, so I will not say more.

If you can't get the skin applier, then you must buy skins that say "Work with mesh avatars" like this ad: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/RL-OMEGA-FEMALE-TIGRESS-Natural/14328052

You are lightyears ahead of me when I was just a few days old in SL. Respect!

SL _is_ difficult and mesh avatars is hard to learn even for seasoned residents in SL.

First: whenever you have an unwanted texture apply to your body, especially to only a part of it, it may be a layer other than your skin. So the first thing you try is to go to the second tab in your Maitreya HUD and clear all layers. This will remove anything that has applied to any of the three layers: tattoo, underwear, clothing. It will nor affect skin.

Second: mesh bodies are objects. You cannot apply system layers to objects. When shopping for skins for a mesh body, the key word is "applier." Maitreya and Omega appliers will both work for you. Appliers will have a cube-shaped icon next to them in your inventory, just like any other object (your body, for instance, had the same icon next to it). If a skin you are looking at does not have the word "applier" in its description, or have the Maitreya and/or Omega logos in the ad image, it will not work for your body. When you buy an applier and add it (always Add, don't Wear), click it and it should apply (if it's a skin) or ask where you want it to apply (if it's a tattoo or an item of clothing).

(Clothing does not have to be applier, by the way. It can be, or it can be mesh. If it is mesh, the key word is "Maitreya," or look for the Maitreya logo in the ad image. This will ensure it is fitted for your body, although not all are created equal, so always demo.)

So, short answer: the skin you bought will not work as is. You will need to turn the textures you got into appliers, advice for which I'm sure you can get inworld. (Try the Maitreya group, the Mesh Body Addicts group, or possibly the Skin Addiction group.)

Sorry was sleeping, But uh. Here are the textures in a picture. Below. Also she has another item on sale called Mooncat Appliers. Ill link the store URL and send a picture of what I got  with it. Thats where I got the textures from as I did a viewer. I was following some video but the solution didn't work for me. Which is why I have the textures on my computer.

This is the market.

That comes with this wearable that auto puts on your top but not bottom and from there you cant change it again.

Also thank you very much for helping. As I said sorry for the late response I feel asleep. I've been trying to get this working for a while.

Oh I'm sorry, I had this game for about 5 days now. I just saw the guy I was watching not blur them out. I'm sorry. But thank you for telling me! <3

In the previous post I spoke about the creator having skin appliers on the market. This is the link.

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Lolas-Tango-Mooncat-Appliers/5156573

When you equip it a button comes up but it only changes the top. So i'm just cery confused. If I also right click it cant get the UUID that way. So I still have to make an applier for an applier?

List of what I have:

Lolas Tango - Mooncat - White [Which is an applier [Icon looks like a 3-d orange box]

Mooncat Shape - Female [(Icon of a chest up icon)]

Mooncat Skin - Vanilla - Female [Which is a skin (Icon of a guy doing a star fish pose)]

Textures of the applier front and back - [(Icon is a rainbow checkerboard)]

Here is the applier on the market I fail to explain before I fell asleep

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Lolas-Tango-Mooncat-Appliers/5156573

I turned that object into two textures for top and bottom but I also still have the object. I'll try and provide images of the text now to see how it goes!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This one didn't work as I needed a UUID which I only have UUID for the textures I uploaded. Which are the same exact ones. I edited the script too so it would auto put it on but it didn't. Named the gif 'First'.
And the UUID's in the editor, The only ones I changed is Upper and lower. The others were default.
Omega Advanced - Standard Applier Kit (Beginer? Try this one!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This one also didn't work which is the Omega Unleashed - Combined 4.0 Skin Example

I edited the script to also add the UUID to the model with the texture UUID which has the top and bottom. I'll also provide links for the textures.

It wont let me upload most then 4.88 MB so I uploaded it to Gyazo. Heres the textures.

You do realize this is a Lolas Tango (mesh breasts made before full mesh bodies were a thing) applier and was never meant to be used with the Maitreya body?

I've only had this game for 5 days sorry.

But neither of these will work for the reskin of Maitreya Mesh body?

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Mooncat-Vanilla/5150877

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Lolas-Tango-Mooncat-Appliers/5156573

Because I do have the lower body textures and the original object that the skin came with has the lower body textures.

I assume those textures are for the lower and front upper body sections. They do not follow the standard SL skin mapping, and so can not be used to make an applier for a Maitreya body, or rather they can but the skin would look very strange and certainly not what you want. Maybe you should just forget about these items and look for a finished Maitreya/Omega skin applier?

If you follow the link to the Dev Kit manual instructions, you will see that you copy and paste the skins UUID two places should be enough.

http://slpoweredbyomega.com/learning-center/what-is-omega/skinmakerinfo/

Upper_Texture: Your normal SLUV Upper Body Texture
Lower_Texture: Your normal SLUV Lower Body Texture
For future references, all the appliers that use "Lolas" "Lolas Tango" in the description is older content. There is no warning that you buy outdated stuff in SL and that is perhaps the main problem with this user created content market. Different systems is developed, is popular and dies, but new users don't know that they buy yesterdays hot stuff that is lukewarm now.... or stone cold.

yea in this case the applier is old, meant for the Chinchilla furry avi with some options to tangos. With the Omega relay, the Tango applier was working on her top but not bottom. She obtained the textures, but i really am not certain they will work on the lara body when they were designed for the chinchilla.
