Fionalein
@Tommy Linden if community participation guidelines tell us we should keep our postings general outside the adult sections... why do we see all those ads for stripers and brothels in the employment and upcoming event section? Suggestion: Can we have an adult jobs/events subsection of the adults subforum? Edited April 28, 2018 by Fionalein
Cindy Evanier
There is an events in adult but maybe they need a "wanted" section
Syo Emerald
I always thought the "general" was refering to the nature of topics posted here...everything that is not specific enough to fit into other subforums and not to so much to an age rating.
Fionalein
From community participation guidelines Nudity or Adult Content: Keep the content of your postings “General” as provided in the Maturity Guidelines. Postings that do not comply with the “General” rating may be removed. No, it's quite clear what kind of general they mean

The 'General' in 'General Discussion' does mean what you thought it meant. It's about topics and nothing to do with the 'general' rating, although posts in all forums do have to comply with the 'general' rating. So, I believe the Lab are using the using the same guidelines as General Land. Strippers ain't allowed. And I believe this is because the General sections are Google indexed while the Adult sections are not. Moving the posts for sex clubs into Adult stops searches like "Second Life Sex" returning too many links to the forums. Will be good to see Tommy's ruling on it properly. It's clearly said a little while ago by Tommy in a thread ,if i'm not wrong, that the forums have to be PG/General .. it would be great if the mods were also informed And there is a Adult section, posters get seriously pissed sometimes when pointing at that.

Phil Deakins
Really? So you still think that your reply to the question was the correct answer to the question? It wasn't. Mine was. My "mindset" was to provide the correct answer to the question, especially since the only answer that Syo had been given was wrong. Fionalein
Oops, sorry, you're right Phil. I soudn't read those forums after midnight.... nevertheless it seems to cover the mindset of a bunch around here. LittleMe Jewell
General Discussion is for anything that doesn't really fit in any of the topic specific sub-forums (and that is subjective). The Adult section also has a General Discussion sub-forum that would be for "general" threads that are more of an adult nature - i.e. discussions about BDSM or specific sexual discussions. However, the posts there must still meet the overall forum PG/General guidelines - i.e. still no nudity and be careful with the wording. Administrators Tommy Linden Posted May 1, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 1, 2018 @Fionalein if you could private message me some examples of what you mentioned so I can take a look more specifically at what the issue is, that would be fantastic.
Talligurl
It seems to me everything here is general in content, true non general activities are advertised and mentioned, but always in a way that leaves the specific adult content to the imagination. This isn't Mr. Rogers, more like prime time network TV.
Alwin Alcott
and as with waves... the escorting and cam advertisement sorry.. i mean employment calls... are flooding the "general" employment section again.. Come on.. i have nothing against adult content, but slapping those nothing hiding girls in peoples face is just disgusting. Put it where it belongs: adult section.
