Found out about Second Life around 5 years ago.  Ironically, most of us aren't "residents" because we don't own land.

There is no land ownership requirement to be a resident of SL. All users of SL are residents.

Huh. 12 years in this account. Does original in 2005 count or no?

I count this account's age as "my" age even tho I have an alt that is a little older and not even that was my first.  All those other accounts don't count.  So I will be a resident of 10 years this coming December.  Any claims to being older are just anecdotes. :)

Good point. And it would be funny if I dug up that login info again just to post to this thread LOL

Hello Residents!

For those of you who missed it - there is as pretty cool updated infograph that we shared yesterday as part of our look back at the last 15 years in Second Life.

It got me thinking about the time I have spent inworld - both prior to my working at Linden Lab, and my time here. My question to you is - how many of the last 15 years have you been part of the Second Life community?

For me - as Resident it has been almost 12 years and coming up on 7 as a Linden!

Next month it will be 11 years for me. No breaks! I kinda miss the "wild" times of Second Life a bit though. Before Zindra, SL Banks, Casinos, Camping... Not that I used all of that, but the possibility that I could was kinda cool! :SwingingFriends:

I miss the wonder of experiencing the sims, the creations etc. I miss the opportunities to make money in SL. (and I did well back in the day)

Had one avatar of which I can't even remember the name from trying when I first heard of SL, in 2004, I think. Logged in a couple of times, left it, forgot about it, and started seriously in june 2008. Left that avatar in early 2016, and left for a year and a half, then I started this avatar, in august last year.

I can't even remember when I first joined SL but it was probably some time between 2004 and 2007. I didn't stay long back then though and it wasn't until 2013 I rejoned and became an active SL user.

I'd love to ahve my original accoutn back but since I can only rememebr the first naem and the password and it was connected to an email address long gone, that's not possible.
