Contacts are all offline

My contact appear all offline. However, when I know someone is online, I send message and they became online. My contacts are experiencing the same phenomenon. Any help is appreciated.

Old known bug. You would have saved yourself time if you had searched answers.

The work around, check your Internet connection to the SL servers. Then relog. You may want to restart your computer and gateway/router/modem (whatever you call it) and skip the check.

The problem is almost always a matter of your viewer and the SL systems glitching at just the precise moment to cause the Friends List to not update as it should.

I am increasingly of the opinion that searching Answers, or even the Knowledge Base, or this whole darn site, is a waste of time.  I either get no results, or far too many worthless results.  Easier to just post one's question, even if it's one that's been asked a thousand times before.

This is usually  problem with the region you login to & a region restart is needed to fix it.
What's the name of the region you log into when this happens?
