Mesh on basic membership

Hi,

I was just wanting to if you can make your basic avatar mesh if you are on a basic membership ?

Yes -- the type of membership you have has nothing to do with getting a mesh body and/or head.

To add to Par's advice...

You already have some mesh and partly mesh avatars!  Look in your inventory (CTRL+I).  Navigate to the folder Library\Clothing.  This contains a whole lot of starter avatars, in both the Initial Outfits and Older Outfits folders.  You can change to any of them by simply dragging an avatar's folder from your inventory and dropping it onto your avatar, or right click the folder and choose "Replace Current Outfit."

You can find a few nice free mesh bodies in world.  For example, visit eBody and look for their freebies.

Or, you can buy any number of full featured mesh bodies, heads, and other parts.  Do some research and try a lot of demos before making a purchase!  These items can be fairly expensive, a good mesh body or head may cost $L5,000.  Three of the most popular creators are Catwa, Lelutka, and Maitreya, but there are many others such as Belleza, SLink, Laqroki, and Vista.  Two good resources:  http://meshbodyaddicts.com/ and https://strawberrysingh.com/.  Be sure to check out Strawberry Singh's YouTube video reviews, too.

Actually there is a free mesh body inculding a bento mesh head to be had at one of the foreign langauge InfoHUBs, you cannot change the skin, but hey, it's free

That's the eBody one, and it's at the Portuguese help area, Ajuda SL Brasil

There's also a free Altamura mesh body and head package at Ajuda SL Brasil. You can't change the skin tone or makeup, but you can't beat the price. Altamura mesh avatar bodies have Slink-compatible feet and I have found that most Maitreya clothing fits the body well.

Ooh!  Ajuda SL Brasil must've changed their freebie!  No worries though...newcomers should visit the place anyway.  It's a great spot, even if you don't speak Portuguese.
