How do I email a person that I know is on line in second life without them having to IM me first

You are about to reply to a thread that has been inactive for 3471 days.

Please take a moment to consider if this thread is worth bumping.

Question

No because the code in the email is connected to the session they are logged in on, so if you try to reply to an old message that they sent to your mail it doesn`t get through, unless anything changed since the last time I tried that.

If you are both registered on the forums you can send a private message here and that gets emailed to the other person to come and check their messages here.

Or you can try downloading one of the chat clients such as Radegast, which is a lightweight SL viewer without graphics.

You can IM someone in-world by using SEARCH>PEOPLE type in avatar name.  Click on the name of the avatar you want to communicate with and then click on IM.

You do not have access to their email address.  However, if the other person has IM forwarding to email - they will receive your IM in their email.
