Can't wear item

I am a new newcomer to Second and I'm having trouble putting on my clothes.I know how to open and unpack the item but when I push "wear" a strange poster always come up on my screen but I never see it on my avatar. I need help please  ?

Aha!  What you have is an "applier".

An applier is a little one-button HUD.  It's used to, um, apply...apply a clothing texture to a mesh body.  If you are just using a "classic" avatar, the applier won't do anything.  You have to be wearing a mesh body, such as those made by Maitreya, SLink, Belleza, eBody, and others.

Some clothing will come with both an applier for mesh bodies, and traditional clothing layers (in the case of a bra, it'll be an undershirt layer, or possibly a tattoo or a shirt layer).  If so, right click and Wear the traditional clothing layer version for your classic avatar body.
