Return of last names -- points of interest to scripters

@Inara Pey has a very helpful summary in her blog , https://modemworld.me/2018/03/23/the-return-of-second-life-last-names-update-with-audio/ (sorry, I can't make the link test work for some reason), of what's known so far about the plan to reintroduce last names.

She summarizes recent comments from both @Oz Linden and @Patch Linden, several of which are of interest to scripters (including the the news that

The Lab will most likely provide an API for resolving first name / last name into a valid Agent ID

which suggests to me that we may at long last be able to do Name to Key without having to use an external lookup service.

Anyway, well worth a look.

I saw that too and I'll be so happy if they go through with that. There's a grid full of kludges ripe for retirement.

Just a fyi, I asked specifically for an HTTP api as well as an LSL one. They were gonna do both.

Handy for us who store names and UUIDs for external products, so we don't have to do ye olde scraping or interface with an inworld object to update names occasionally.
