First, try updating your video card drivers.  Evan a new PC can have drivers that need updating.  Second, many PCs have two graphics options, a powerful graphics card for games and things like Second Life, and a lower-powered graphics engine built into the main processor chip.  Right click your desktop and choose NVIDIA Control Panel.  There should be a setting there to tell it to use your NVIDIA graphics card for Second Life.

Once you have a viewer click HELP->About... and copy-paste the information into your post.
