You obviously knew what I meant though.  there is a difference between the mechanics of the game and the "story" and the "quests" associated with it.  As I said, I once ran into a person who asked me about where they could go to find some silly thing which was "part of the quest."  I had no idea up until that point that there WAS a "backstory" or whatever to the game and I have never before or since ran into anyone in Linden Realms who was actually playing for that aspect of the game.

No, I was pointing out a specific point about “content”. And you didn’t care,  but Linden Realms IS content.

I post the lion pics all.the.time. The point of the previous lion pic is “facepaw” because of cluelessness. So..go ahead and ignore me, it’s ok. I never, ever meant anything “mean” or hurtful.

I'm not posting/responding to be "mean" but you stated you play the game for hours and no one (you can't really speak on behalf of EVERY ONES feelings) cares  about the possible mythos or story around the game- just the crystals that you turn into lindens.  I hope your crystal to linden ratio is coming out ahead way more than minimum wage to be so wound up.  TBH- there isn't much LPW has created that is IMO dazzlingly beautiful, and I make a point of looking at the wikia & searching out of the way places- in fact last night I was reading about the "creationism legend of sl" with the cult of Ruth Eternal & the loins of Philip Linden *insert Nelson HAHA here*.  

Maybe you can come up with an idea for user created content, maybe there are builders & scripters in your group of LR friends?

I'm glad you brought this up, a month or so ago I was exploring the old "colour sims" around Teal and Slate, where I found a tiny little plot for C.O.R.E with a little building made from Philips Pants...

I have not been to play in a few years now, but when I did it was everything in terms of exasperation of falling off things, running into things, being tpd back to start continuously and frustration and hijinks. It was a game, it was fun, it killed some hours, it got a bit crazy when we realised some parts were glitched and I could not get past a level and so on, but that is something that happens. Did we win crystals or whatever, I think so, who knows, I was not doing it for money, it cost me money spending hours playing it because I wasn't doing work work but it was a great breather. To say that no one cares about...and that everyone that hung their heads and walked away was doing so because their only interest was the lindens they could not earn, that is shocking to me, for a start many real games online cost, Sl is free to be in and definitely not a game, but has games in it, if you want to spend hours playing games and earning the equivalent of 24c go at it, I drink ten times that in one can of Redbull while playing said game. 

I feel that this even though late in the posting is the perfect time to quote my Mum as in our lives our parents are the original Lindens  

" I gave you a living, I do not owe you one" mind you she said that when I was about 16 and being greedy lol but it works. Lindens give us SL it is free, what we do with it can cost, but it is a choice, they, however, do not owe us forms of earning money to use in this world, but they have found ways to do so, through a few different means, and this is one of the ones that entertain and earns. Do not like this storyline, or the graphics, create your own space, or perhaps have a chat with Patch about some ideas you and your so motivated friends have.

I don't think anyone was being mean to you, but I do think that once you started talking money many were disappointed at the truth behind the rant.

to be fair to Sylvia, she was going off in March about when the LR game got firebombed and the meadow green was reduced to ash, even tho the game still played the same way. Was a pretty jarring contrast and yes I do agree with Sylvia that the ash made the playing environment pretty meh!

since then Linden Realms is now a whole other new game. I think the firebombing of the old game was a portent signal that a new game was coming. Which we now have

I really like that the game become more interactive. But i agree that there are low chances for regular players like me, to complete the quests. I am giving my best to learn it and play it but it becomes boring and frustrating. At firts i completed the 4 quests to collect the full amulet, now i am in a quest to "heal a heart tree" but i have being running for like about 2 hours and i can not find a green crystal. Besides, the "angry rocks" and the "eating sands/swamps" catch you from a kind of long range, you did not even expect that and sometimes you did not even see it comming. I really hope that you could give more chances for non expert gamers. i will keep trying. Cheers!

Oh damn! It is collecting the amulet again! I collected it just 2 days before and the HUD told me that i would have 7 days to collect crystals. So now i have to collect the damn amulet again?! Not fair.

I wonder if we can just ignore finishing the amulet while having all 4 fragments until we decide to cash out... btw. you can immediately start a new amulet ahead of time ( @Abnor Mole reccomends doing so before cashing out all greens to not be caught waiting for greens to appear)

After I finally have 4 amulet pieces I tried some Realms grinding - patches of orange are gone we have patches of green now, just idle along until green spawn, then rush around and collect them all. For some instant extra fun know some shortcuts and snatch them in front of the others who try to pull off the same...

Na, no improvement - it's pretty much the same as before - just with an annoying game added.

sometimes when we can't find stuff by running round, is best to let them find us.  Think if it like fishing. Stay in roughly one place, zoom your camera up and wait
