How can I easily add an item to, or replace an item in, all of my outfits in Viewer 2?

For example, if I purchase a new skin, and I want this skin to be included in every outfit that I've saved, in/through Viewer 2's outfits panel, is there an easier way to do this than having to wear & edit & save each & every outfit?

Using Phoenix Firestorm? Get it done in 8 steps:

1.Go to the outfit folder

2. Find the object "link" you want to replace

3. Right click  and then choose "replace links"

4. You will see a Pop up that says "replace inventory links"

5. Find the object that you want to replace the link you currently have in the outfit 

6. Highlight 

7. Drag the object name to "target:"

8. Click Start

9. The "target" link will replace the "source" link everywhere it appears in an outfit

It should be possible the paste copies of the skin into all outfit folders. Those will be actual copies, not just links, so this will increase your inventory count a little. Not sure if this works in viewer 2, but it does work in Phoenix.

I think in Viewer 2 it is not possible to manually copy items into an outfit.   I would do the following:

1. Create an outfit that is just the new shape and/or skin.  I call mine Naked Cinn and it contains my basic skin, shape, eyes, etc
2. Put on any other outfit using Wear - Replace
3. Then put on the skin outfit using Wear - Add
4. If you want, save the combination of the two back to the original outfit

That works for me.  Just be careful if you are out in public and make sure you do the Wear - Add when adding the skin outfit.  Otherwise if you forget and do a Wear - Replace, you will be standing there naked! :smileytongue:

Right click the skin & select copy, then open the folder in My Outfits and right-click on any item in there and select paste & it will then paste a "link" for the skin in the outfit folder.

If you right-click the actual folder there is no paste option.

Good idea, because even though it works the method is not exactly obvious. At least on Phoenix you have the options to copy, paste and "paste as a link" which does make it slightly clearer that it is possible.
