Confessions ... well, this could take a little more time.

I have worn gold jewelry.
I have disciplined my children in other ways besides spanking.
I have wanted more that what I had when I was homeless.
I have had crafty conversations.
I have had lewd conversations.
I have asked other people for advice.
I have taken out loans.
I earn interest on my investments.
I have had to declare bankruptcy.
I have been discouraged.
I have broken the speed limit.
I have had dreams about sex.
I have been discontent.
I have asked for a raise.
I have quit a job rather than follow the boss' orders.
I believe in evolution.
I have heard fairy tails.
I have required proof.
I have been afraid.
I have been frightened by men.
I was not afraid of my mother.
I have been foolish
I have bought lottery tickets.
I have struck a man in the groin.
I have had sex with the same gender.
I have told jokes.
I have asked a question in church.
I am lazy.
I like to be noticed.
I love myself.
I love my life.
I love the world.
I have acted according to logic.
I have been naughty.
I am fairly sure that someone at some time has been offended by me.
I have been impatient.
I am not perfect.
I have refused to obey a priest.
I have a savings account and a retirement plan,
I sleep in on Saturdays (Sundays too)
I have thought about what to do tomorrow.
I have thought about what to wear.
I have been on a diet.
I wear pants.
I have been worried.
And some others I'm sure but that's enough for now. All these are sins.

Quite a list, but I wouldn't consider all of them as sins - some of them are quite laudable, in my opinion anyway :)

Wait .... It's a sin to sleep in on Saturday? How late?  Can I set my alarm clock to avoid sinning?  Does God know when we go on Daylight Savings Time? What if I fall asleep on a transAtlantic overnight flight?

Avoiding sin makes my head hurt!

Just now, Rhonda Huntress said:

It’s not so much sleeping as not remembering to keep it holy.

Dont worry to much. No one is perfect. Wait, that’s a sin too.  We’re all hosed!

These days, it’s only a sin if there wasn’t consent or if neither party enjoyed it. (My church doesn’t talk about sin much.)

I agree. They are all specified as sins in the bible, tho.

That's what I was thinking, especially when one of them was 'asking questions in church'  :)   (I went very progressive, myself, and just about 'progressed' myself right out of church and religion.)

I have many failings and one of them is not wanting to share what the others are - and I used to wear something that symbolized the keeping secret part.  From junior high until my early 40's when I lost the chain, I wore a chain with a little padlock on it as a bracelet - everyday, all the time.   Whether it was the right or wrong thing to do, it was my symbol for keeping myself safe by keeping my inner core self secret and protected from the world.

For what it's worth .. Here is the sin list including book chapter and verse for each one.
And I'll stop.  I didn't intend to discuss religion; I just thought it would be funny to confess a long list of sins.

This doesn’t include all 637 Jewish laws, does it? You know, mixing fabric, boiling veal in its mother’s milk...
