There are a few videos from Second Life on Twitch.tv. Not enough.

What shows up on Twitch.tv is totally different from the place recommendations in SL. Interesting.

Second Life is not permitted on Twitch.tv due to the huge user generated content factor. This is a decision made on Twitch.tv's part, not Linden Lab's.  This is why there are so few VODs and streams on Twitch.tv featuring Second Life.

Due to the fact anyone can stream snipe and bring explicit content on screen, Twitch has decided to ban streaming of Second Life.

While one may argue "Why not just stay in G rated regions?". While users can report users for explicit content in G rated regions, Linden Lab is unable to take immediate action against those who do bring explicit content to G rated region due to the sheer amount of reports they receive daily and the amount of investigation that goes into those reports. Even then, Twitch does not want any explicit content on stream period, even if it is for a second and the user derenders the content or blocks the offending user.

While I disagree with this decision as users can have "Mature" rated streams, Twitch will not budge on this decision. This is likely due to brand protection by preventing the site from becoming a streaming hub for animated explicit content.

I watch Twitch a lot.  You will find people streaming it there but it rare to see.  Mostly the ones that do stream sound like 20 year old frat boys who run around grabbing freebie stuff and trying to see how annoying they can be.  I wish I could remember the name, but at one point I found another streaming service like Twitch that had a large number of SL streamers.  I think it started with a B but I forgot to bookmark it.  :(

I streamed a DCWF Wrestling show on twitch this afternoon. Second Life is even listed in their directory, I can understand having guidelines preventing the ERP side of SL. But not all of us do ERP>

yeah, risking an account on twitch is not the best idea, since it's the biggest streaming service for gamers online.  it's best to stream SL to youtube or another service that always allows it.

I now have a channel on Twitch and I have been wondering why streaming from Second Life is not allowed. Thank you to everyone that provided information.

I see a lot of people (I am included) streaming their Sims 4 gameplay on Twitch and with all of the adult mods that players use, how can that be okay but Second Life isn't?

Because they are mods, not default parts of the game and it would be kind of unfair to ban a game because some players made and use these mods. And considering how many games have mods that alter the original game experiance...it would be an endless, unfair battle at the expensive of the players, who don't use the mods in question. In SL the adult content is very much part of the world and can also simply be pictures and videos of real life porn.
