Many venues have the good sense not to put out dances that appeal to me. I have Sine Wave's (are they still around) "Over and Out" Lindy Hop dance balls in inventory. That's my go-to icebreaker when someone new joins a party. In that dance, the blue partner flips the pink partner in the air. I always take the first ball, and which one I take depends on my assessment of the situation. If the person's profile or self introduction shows confidence, I'll take the blue ball and tease them. If I sense they're shy, I'll take the pink ball and also tease them, but in a different way. 5 Link to post Share on other sites
