There was a Destination pick advertised for a few weeks that seemed to be a new SL History sim -- and now it's gone.

If you click on the link and "go there," you end up at another pick, the Titanic exhibit.

I couldn't find this anywhere. Is it still up? Was it made by Lindens or what was it?

I still have dreams of making an alternative SL museum. I certainly have enough stuff for it!

Hi,

It was a LEA exhibit, they change every 6 months if i remember correctly ... so yes it's gone :/

It wasn't made by Lindens,

you can get the creator's name in this blog article :

I think the Historical Museum is still up : http://secondlife.com/destinations/origins

Making an alternative SL museum is a very good idea ! :)

I do miss this project! I remember landing on it and seeing it was a on a LEA sim, and I immediately wept for its impermanence </3

A SL history museum would be incredible. I know there is a History of Second Life pavilion somewhere on Sansara if my memory serves me correctly, but it does not have an extensive collection on display. A few very amusing photographs from early days showing of primitars and the beta shenanigans. I certainly wish something more extensive and permanent existed...
