I need help on this "Simulating cellulite"

Question

Hello. I´m new in PS and I want to make the cellulite effect to my classic avatar, like this:

I did all the phases but need help to this part:  Duplicate the layer and convert it to a normal map. (XNormal/Nvidia plugins, or what ever you like)
The gray layer placed on top of the skin diffuse map with blend mode Overlay. And how I put it on my avatar? Thanks so much and sorry for my english

It depends on how the texture is made and what you are putting it on. 

With the classic body there are no materials layers. So, it will have to either be part of the skin texture or a tattoo. 

With mesh bodies one could go for the more realistic look from materials. But, the post you link to does not explain using a materials approach. So, you would need to make an APPLIER that adds the texture to the tattoo layer or make it part of the skin texture, which would also require use of an Applier.

You can get developer's kits for mesh bodies from the maker of the body.
