Will someone explain why a person would get ban for posting an adult event in the adult forum.....and get a crazy email about not being pg?  An adult event at a adult sim post in an ADULT FORUM

This email is notification of action regarding your Second Life account, ********, for violation of the Second Life Terms of Service or Community Standards.

Violation: Forum Informal Warning: Indecency, Mature Content

We removed your recent post in the Second Life Forums which violated our Community Standards (available here: http://secondlife.com/corporate/cs.php).

Mature material is not allowed on the Second Life web site or in the Second Life Forums.

The following content is not appropriate in PG Regions: Intense, strong language or expletives. Nudity or sexual content in textures, sounds, or animations. Content depicting sex, strong violence, or anything else broadly offensive. Soliciting of chat sex. Avatar nudity.

This is an informal warning, please note that if this happens again, you will be formally warned.

First and foremost, this is the entirely wrong place to put this, this really doesnt even need to be on the forums, if its an actual concern then send an appeal request.

Note in the CS:

Quote

- Abusing Linden Lab personnel or moderators (as applicable on a forum operated by Linden Lab), such as re-posting content that has been removed, suspended or locked, or posting content that questions a moderator’s decision or competence (as applicable on a forum operated by Linden Lab).

Every section of the forums follows the same rules, adult discussion is no exception. Note that none of these other posts involve any nudity or obscene language or whatever, theyre very carefully worded.

You did something that got a Linden to warn you, if you believe it was a mistake and that you did not violate the Community Standards guidelines then you can send them an appeal for your warn.

I believe the very 1st post of this forum should inform users what is permitting in the adult forum.  What is the difference between the non-adult and adult forum?  What is allowed in the adult forum that is not allowed in the non-adult forum?  According to SL - Mature material is not allowed on the Second Life web site or in the Second Life Forums.

What is the definition of mature material?  If a picture of a woman in a sexy halloween outfit - nothing exposed, wording included naughty, sexy -- no vulgar statements .... that cannot be posted in this forum??

It is possible to discuss adult topics without nude photos or sexually explicit language.

It's actually easy to do if you're posting naked, particularly if you announce that at the start of the thread rather than here, as I'm doing now.

I want a response from SL explaining the purpose of the adult forum

Actually, it is LL that would know the reason, not SL.

We can all point you to the TOS and make all sorts of guesses, but only LL can truly give you the answer that is specific to your case -- and that requires a Support ticket.  Even when LL reads the forums, they never comment on individual issues here.

Hello Al Brunsen,

Your fellow Residents are correct in that this is not the correct way to seek resolution to the matter. You are welcome to submit an Appeal via a Support Ticket and it will be reviewed by a member of the Governance team. That being said, it is also highly advised to review our Terms of Service, as well as our Community Guidelines. Fortunately, we have easy to get to links on the right hand side of our forums for both submitting a ticket, and the guidelines!

That being said, I am going to now lock this thread, due to the fact that this isn't something we discuss via the forums.
