Assuming you'd like to use something like a display name here in the forums ... you can't. It's user name only.

Well, that's the name you set when you started the account.  It's your username. (And it's distinctive and rather pretty. )There are some things that you cannot ever change in life, like your Social Security Number.  This is one of them.  You can use a Display Name in world if you like but, as Parhelion says, not here in the forums.

If it's bugging you terribly, you should go ahead and create another account, and this time get the spelling right.  You can keep both accounts; just use Virgina as your alt and "Virginia" as your main account.  You can transfer any money and any transferable items to the new account.

Also, if "Virginia Brookes" is your actual Real Life name, I STRONGLY suggest you make a new account, and do NOT use your RL name in Second Life.  Too many potential stalkers.
