The new viewer is not working for me at all. Can anyone recommend settings for good and stable LOD?

it's impossible to advice settings based on the information, or better the lack of information, you give about your system.

go to help in the viewer and copy/paste the system info from there in your post please

I'm using standard SL viewer. It was working fine till today's update.

HP Laptop, Windows 10,  AMD Radeon HD Graphics, 8 gigs Ram, 500GB Hardrive.

I used my pre-sets from pre-updated viewer, and it's horrible. Everything is un-rezzing constantly and there are seams on my buildings etc. ?

My Internet speed is decent.

these two are far to high.. you need a high end graphics for such drawdistance , also be sure you use the graphics card for SL and not the onboard graphics.

bring drawdistance back to 128 to try if that gets better and your bandwidth to 1000, if you'r on wifi 750

These settings are excellent. Best I've ever seen. I tried the lower bandwith, but even though I'm on WiFi the higher setting seems to work better.

I also set flexi's to low, and they stay rendered now. Hope this might help someone else. :D

your viewer doesn't use  those levels.. your viewer will keep asking for information that the servers aren't able to give...
