How do you put a pic on your profile on viewer 2 without saving it to your PC?

I find with other viewers i can still drop and drag my profile pic when i want to change it, but i cannot do this on Viewer 2, as all it says is upload a pic and it takes me to files on my PC, if this is so then why?

Open the pic that you want to use and on the bottom right you'll see Save As. Click that and save the pic to your hard drive or use a pic you saved to your hard drive after taking a photo..

Now open your Profile and click Edit Profile.

Under heading Profile Picture, click Change.

Click Upload and navigate to where you saved your pic. (Note: no TGA files)

Click OK to upload.

Well i read the answer and this seems a long winded way of doing a simple drag abd drop as it use to be.

Well, I rarely save photos to inventory preferring to save to disk, then run through Photoshop before uploading the ones I want in Second Life to Inventory. Saves time and money. I certainly would not use a photo saved to Inventory as a Profile photo without processing it first.

 

The method I described above is for those who wish to use a photo in Inventory that they don't have saved on hard drive.
