I'm at my wit's end with this.  I've tried my old address, new address, new driver's license, and my last 4 SSN. Always the same error: Age verification failed. I even tried a payment method, called billing to ensure it was in, and they said I still wasn't age verified because my real name wasn't on the account. So I submitted a support ticket to do so (which was done), and I am STILL unable to verify age.  It seems that on the beta, when I pick my birthday, it keeps jumping to the 1st of the month instead of on my actual birthday. I'm not a premium member, and I think it's a bunch of caca that I have to pay in order to get quality customer service. I've supplied all the info; why can't you guys do it manually?

Sincerely,

Chibi Lupis, CCS

I was about to submit a similar topic, but you stole the words out of my mouth. I am experiencing the same issue.... I AM an adult, but I am NOT a premium member, I've lived in the same darn house for 20+ years, nothing else has changed and YET.... I am expected to become a premium member just to get manually verified. Way to go.

To match your SSN to your address the address must be the last one that has been identified as your current address by the top 3 credit reporting bureaus. Therefore, little sites as the SL age verify one rely on that information. For the most part, the current address that the credit bureaus will have on file is the last address you used the last time you opened a bank account, credit card account, or purchased a vehicle.

Age verification should consist of a single "I'm 18 or older" button, which is the most common form of age verification on the internet. In the end, it comes down to that anyway. Googling for Elvis Presley's driver's license isn't more difficult than clicking a button. The system is nothing but a PitA for people who try to truthfully enter their ID, without success.

This^^ Even most Porn sites only require an "Yes I am 18" button and this has been held by U.S. courts to be perfectly fine. However the idiotic decision of LL to allow underage kids to SL I believe has promted them to toughen the rules on age verification. It is quite strange that this "I can't age verify" type of posts has dramatically increased over the last few days and makes me wonder if LL has made some changes to the verification process that they have not told us abour yet.

Download and run this tool http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en

After you have done that and restarted your pc run your antivirus again and remove any viruses it finds.

Then google Malwarebytes and download that and run it but on a safemode boot.

Then get rid of Norton, Norton is only good at finding false positives and never finds the real deal.
