Can anyone help me find similar hair please? :)

Hi guys, first I should say hello, I have returned to SL after a fair time with a brand new account (gave up trying to remember my old account details) and have been lurking in the forums, hidden away in the shadows while I soaked up all the new info.

I am desperately trying to find a hair style similar to the one I have posted in the picture, as far as I know it was from a gacha (AMITOMO / Better Than GACHA / 1 / RARE) so I'm guessing I can't simply find the exact style as it may be long gone, but something very close would be amazing.. I have spent too many hours now reloading hair styles in the market place so if anyone has any ideas of something similar to this one, you could well save my sanity!

Since you know the name, if you use Firestorm viewer, maybe teleport to yardsales and use land search?

Oh nice, do you mean the 'area search' under the world tab? Top tip, thank you  I have just tried a few but no luck yet, which part of the name would you choose to search for if you were in my shoes? Or will it bring results if it finds any object with whatever search term I use, like web search engines?

So these yardsale listings are just huge areas filled with assorted gacha from the past?

Try to have a look at Hairology event too. I've seen hairstyles similar to this one a few times there.

My inner impatient brat is still biting at my heels, I'm about half way through those yard sales now but it's SOOOO distracting with all the shiny new things to look at

I don't use yardsales so much. But since you really want this hair and it's not resold on the MP, it can be worth trying the yardsales.  Maybe search just for AMITOMO? You gat a list of items and can see the full name on each object who is namend AMITOMO and more.

Yes the Area search, I think it's really useful. Sorry that I didn't remember the correct term. I use this in huge stores abd events too, when they load slow. Let us say I am looking for a certain thing I saw blogged and don't have time to look around.

Hmmm, thanks Jeny, that is pretty close! I will check it out..  It shows the ears too, might be a little too wavy for what I am trying to achieve but I will have to see it 'in person' so to speak. Much appreciated.

Marianne, that was a really useful tip, I have a feeling it is going to save me a lot of time. I Don't have a great connection at the best of times and this will prevent me having to spend ages in laggy sims moving step by step as everything loads around me. No need to apologise, I just wasn't sure at first but I figured it out easy enough from your description  :). 

Seems I posted in the wrong forum too, my bad and thanks for putting me in the right place!
