Has anyone ever heard of a hud called the obsessed lover hud? I recently got this sent to me and like a dumbass i opened it without checking it. Now...the hud is stuck on my avatar, its attached to my outfits and I cant detach or delete it. Ive tried everything i know other than deleting Firestorm. Any ideas? I would appreciate any help.

great you found it out already, but wanted to respond on this part.

Deleting the viewer solves nothing you wear. It is nothing more than it says: viewer it shows on your screen what happens on the servers, not at your own computer.

If you delete it, and install again you would still wear everything as the last time.

Normally a relog will be enough to get stuck items released.

Thank you for your response. You are absolutely correct. I was in panic mode when I posted and not thinking properly. I did figure out the problem and it is completely resolved. A relog didnt help though. I found another way to solve the problem. Thank you again.

What is an obsessed lovers HUD and how did were able to remove it?

I have never heard of one and believe a solution could be provided here in case some other soul attaches it to themselves and want to remove it.

I have no idea what is is or the purpose of it. All i know is that i visited some unsavory sims and it popped up on my screen like a gift. I opened it figuring it to be some harmless toy. Little did I know that it would actually attach itself to my Avi and not allow me to detach it or delete it. It actually was opening my appearance folder whenever I would try to get rid of it. In fact it situated itself into my outfits. The only way to get rid of it was to;

A. Clear my cache

B. Stop avatar animations and revoke permissions

C. Uncheck my RLV option in my preferences and restart

I tried everything else and had no luck. This hud was one intrinsic little bastard. Good luck to anyone that has it. It is a pain in the ass and the hud stays open on your screen until you get rid of it. It serves no purpose at all but to basically screw up your experience here on SL. The programs creator isnt even listed on the Hud itself. So...if you get this sent to you my advice is DO NOT OPEN. Delete it before it can get in.

Oh and one more thing. This lists me as a newbie for some reason...probably because I am new to the forum. I however am not new. I have been on SL for quite some time. Over nine years to be exact. I have never dealt with anything like this before. Hence my panic.

Out of the A, B and C options, C probably did the trick. Maybe with a little assistence of B.
