ive notice a lot more lately seeing kid avatars on Adult Sims. if you ? them about it they say they have rights and SL told them they could do it.. hm well last I knew they were suppose to be on an adult sim. I actually see adult avatars having sex with them. .. what can be done when you see this? they will just keep doing it. its sickening and they go to popular sims even and do it I don't get how they are getting away with this.

it's pretty simple, when you see them near, or using adult stuff you can AR them ..  but keep in mind just BE on a adult sim isnt against TOS, everybody who has access to adult sims in SL is 18+, its only the age-play that is AR'able

The AR Tool will create a screenshot /LM and timestamp, only have to send it to the right category and add objective comment.

You always also can inform the landowner/manager

Use your judgement with discretion.. if you AR to often without reason, LL can take action against the sender.

If I see a kid on any of my properties I immediately eject them and ban them.

If the land owner allows it SL-Kids can be on adult rated land, which includes Linden owned land like the roads in Zindra.

However, they cant have sex, or be on sexual objects. The Lab are well proven to take this very seriously. They ban ruthlessly, and faster than you can blink. So if you believe they are child avatars having sex, AR them.

Just one point, please make sure they are SL-Kids having sex, and not just two normal sized 170-180cm eighteen year olds, when you are a 9 foot tall giant. (5'2" is 157cm) So, size is not a valid indicator, and many SL skins look teenage. Lack of pubic hair or muscles also isn't an indicator, not everyone wants to wear a TMP body after all.

Childish clothes, childish speech, childish actions, undeveloped "gender specific parts", larger human* head in proportion to body to an adult are all indicators, I believe. As mentioned above, AR small adults as kids too many times and the lab might take action against you.

* anime heads create a huge grey area. Again, the "gender specific parts" can be a fairly acurate guide.5997cf7d6fcd0_proporcionesnio-adulto.thumb.jpg.34b0e1511d0c834b4a990071f9515f51.jpg

Alwin and Callum nailed it. Child avatars can be on adult sims. There is nothing stopping that, since that is the land rating of the maximum extreme for content. What's against the ToS (and the law) is having sex with child avatars or being around adult content. That's an AR.

The best gauge i someone is playing a kid is context. If they are using something like the Toddleedoo body (meant for babies and preschool kids), talk about being a child in their profile, and are otherwise unmistakably a child, then they are probably playing a child. Just being shorter than you, having a small chest, or wearing nerdy clothes or childish accessories isn't enough, since there are adult baby fetishes out there.

It's a weird situation. As a child avatar, I will fight to the death for my right to play on an adult rated roleplaying sim or visit a store on an adult rated sim, since most people just blanket rate them as Adult so they don't have to worry about it. But I will never engage in sexual activity or hang around adult content. I feel like that is up to me (as the player of the avatar) to take action and leave, and only ask for patience and discretion on the part of others. For example, if I'm roleplaying somewhere and some people roll in and start banging like a drum set, I only ask that I be given a chance to leave, since it was not be who started that behaviour. Or if I teleport into something, I only ask that I be given time to comprehend what's happening and choose, as an adult player, that that isn't the place for me, rather than being hastily banned and AR'ed for something that is not my fault. The ToS are a two-way street, and if I am taking measures to follow them, I ask that people give me the benefit of the doubt not feel the need to police me. If it's clear that a child avatar isn't following the ToS, then and only then is is time to shift into policing mode.

I'm involved in the management of several adult regions , though I write this in a purely personal capacity.    I'm sorry to have to tell you that you completely misunderstand the basis on which people may access privately-owned land in SL, be they they whole regions or individual parcels.    You have no general right of access to anywhere but LL-owned areas -- the only rights you have on privately-owned land are those granted you by the person who owns it.

On our regions, we don't allow child avatars at all, for three main reasons.

First, the presence of child avatars makes our regular guests feel uncomfortable, since they don't want to risk being seen engaging in "adult activities" when there's a child avatar nearby.

Second, in common with many other adult locations, I'm sure, we've been threatened in the past by people who want to make problems by putting on child avatars and then taking screenshots of themselves playing with the adult gear in the public areas and the shops and using them to AR the woman who owns the regions.   As it happens, she lives in a European jurisdiction where such images could lead to her rl prosecution as well as anything LL might do.   We are obviously anxious to make sure this doesn't happen.

Third, we're concerned to protect the child avatars, too.  You may well not see anything untoward while you're exploring the region until you turn a corner or enter a building, and then you're in the middle of it, and are very likely to be AR-ed by some of our irate regular visitors.

Having said all that, our staff will always ask you, politely, to leave or to change into a more suitable avatar.   People are welcome so long as they stick to our rules.   We only ban and AR people if they refuse to leave/change when asked.

Harrison doesn't misunderstand anything of that. He wasn't saying that he'll fight for the right to visit all adult sims. He meant that he has a right to visit those where the owner doesn't disallow child avatars, and he'll fight for that - because it's allowed in SL, regardless of what some people may imagine.

They are getting away with it only while no one is reporting it.  Just like with real life police, they can only know about what they actually see themselves or what is reported to them. Second Life is a large world, and while many Linden Lab employees have God powers, they are not actually like God, they are not omnipotent.

And so it is up to us, the residents, to keep our corner of the world (real or virtual) clean and tidy and crime free.

Rather than approached child avatars or offending adult avatars yourself, you should consult the menu options at the top of your Second Life viewer screen."Help" at the top of the screen drops down a menu, within which is the "Report Abuse" option. Always ensure the box is checked/ticked next to "attach screenshot" and what you see on your screen will also then be seen by the governance team at Linden Lab.  Do not expect a response, other than an acknowledgement, once you have submitted the report, just please trust Linden Lab to investigate further and take appropriate action.
