Vin Soulstar
Hello All I had a quick question. I usually play SL on my PC but I'm thinking of buying myself another laptop (dropped the last two after a few too many beers) It's a refurbished one, Toshiba Satellite i5 Quad core 2450 2.5ghz 8gig RAM 240gig SSD ATI Radeon HD7670 2gig Windows 10 I'm fairly tech savvy but it's been quite a few years since I purchased a laptop and wondered if this will run SL? I'm not after ultra settings as I'm used to running it on the PC at medium. Edited August 9, 2017 by Vin Soulstar
Alwin Alcott
34 minutes ago, Vin Soulstar said: I had a quick question. these questions are basicly very simple ... if you look at the requirements for a machine, all what meets this will be able to play SL and all what goes over it will play SL better . Look at your budget, if it's not enough, don't buy it and wait till you can afford a machine that exceeds the requirements. A normal home/work laptop isn't really build for a program as SL. Lillith Hapmouche
Should be quite ok with proper graphics tweaking for medium demands. Do keep in mind, however: Toshiba Satellites are quite notorious for being plasticbombers in the consumer market, not really built to last for long. So you better don't drop this one at all
cykarushb
It'll run SL fine, the 7670 is a decent dgpu for the time and will easily handle secondlife on medium/high settings in 720p, or likely medium 1080p. Dont expect god tier performance on a mobile sandy bridge i5, its hitting that point where its gonna be fairly obsolete soon. But as a basic hyperthreaded dual core it will be fine with most light games like SL or CS:GO, Overwatch, etc.
