A-remove names, your post is going to get deleted probably anyway, but removing names might keep it up a bit longer.

B-It's not financial fraud

C-You already recognize your own hand in this...when we know better, we do better, now you've learned a valuable life lesson

D-You can't get another person's account banned, no matter how hard you try, that is up to LL

E-There is no case you can give LL that would make them ban someone for lying to you

F-Catfishing isn't actually illegal, anywhere in the US, and most certainly not in sl, no matter how much we don't like that.

G-I wish you well in further endeavors, I am sorry someone hurt you. I realize it might not seem like it now, but just be grateful you're done with said person, and move on. Perhaps spend some time with just yourself, enjoying sl the way you want to, with no attachment to another person for a while. If you so desire to find someone else, somewhere down the line...TAKE IT SLOW. Seriously, I can't shout that last part loud enough. There's absolutely no need to rush into such things. We may not want to, but love isn't lust and lust isn't love. Lust is a fickle thing, and rarely lasts all that long, can make people do all kinds of stupid, sometimes shady, things..when combined with someone who is already in morally shady grey ground. Lust won't wait, it's typically immediate. Love...can wait, it will develop over time, if you, or the other party can't wait..it's not likely love. Trust isn't immediate either, it should develop over time too...let it, don't rush it.

I hope more people know who she is.

Some who is not here to defend themselves from your acquisitions?

I understand you are hurt but you could just as easily be someone who was rejected and now trying to cause her grief.  Besides, negativity rarely goes the direction we intend.  Your rants will gather more sympathy for her than empathy for you.

Hi, I'm desperate to know if someone can tell me whether there's a way to banish some user from second life forever.

No. Unless they violate the Terms of Service, users cannot and will not be banned because of a user dispute. Your best course of action is to block them.

Because obviously I get catfished by someone

Her second life username is "{REMOVED}", her RL info is not offered here.  [I doubt she's a real woman in RL]

For six months, she has been pretending to love me and making me believe that we were in a romance love relationship. I paid her everything, her catwa bibi head [4160L], her maitreya [2750L], two skins [more than 2000L], all her shoes, clothes, her mesh eyes, her pets, her tips to DJs at clubs, our land rentals, our furniture and house. Yes, I admit I was an idiot, but I thought that relationship was REAL, last week she took my 2500L, last night she borrowed 200L

People do this, rule of the thumb is if they start asking for money at the start of a relationship, it's probably just for the money. Relationships and friendships are constructed on trust and care for each other, not money.

Also tips to DJs are optional, most "DJs" in SL just put on auto-dj and call it a day, they also very likely don't have legal rights to broadcast the music they are playing. :v

This is totally financial fraud, she firstly tricked me into buying all things for her, and she pretended to feel jealous when I had friends, now she kicked me aside and found someone else.

Not fraud, you fully chose to give them money and buy stuff for them. You had the power to say no. More of them being a specific word I will not mention on the forums.

Then let it be removed, at least before it is removed, I hope more people know who she is.

Edit your original post and remove her username and it won't be removed.

Keepng the name there isn't doing anybody any good anyway because nobody's going to remember it if/when they happen to meet her.

@ashlynkilane Out of curiosity I just checked your inworld profile.

I strongly suggest that you edit it immediately. Disclosing someone's RL name and location in the way that you have done in your profile puts you in breach of Linden Lab's Terms of Service and the Second Life Community Standards and could lead to termination of your account.

Not only that, but doxxing a woman because she SL-cheated on you after you'd spent a few thousand L$ on her is a d*ck move.

I shall fight this battle myself

there is nothing to fight .. you paid, she collected ...

and think you had your "repayment" in one or other form during your dating time too... you delevered, she delivered, but just not had the same intention.

Basicly you been her sugardaddy or she your personal  escort .. more or less, because she appearantly has also somebody else, ...

move on... it's passed, lesson learned.

Looking at the profile, I see where LL might send you an email asking it to be changed or face suspension/banishment.

As others have pointed out, one does not name RL names or alts, period. Name and shame is verboten here.

You were taken. Lick the wounds and simply move on.

From the bits someone else quoted it sounds like the tactics romance scammers use to persuade people to give them RL money.... Convince someone that it's love and romance, feign jealousy, persuade them to send money or buy things. Not good, but at least this was 'just' lindens and not thousands of RL dollars or pounds. Anyway, something for everyone to be aware of to help keep themselves and their friends safe.

Also struck by the use of the word make in the title - how to make someone leave SL...., followed on by how the target of her ire made her believe something. It's persuasion and choices, all around. Given her declaration of nobly fighting this battle herself, my question to her would be how far she intends to go in her attempts to try to run the other person out of SL and, more importantly, to consider what that says about her own character. I hope these things occur to her after the outrage dies down.

He better edit his profile and fast, otherwise LL will be coming down on his account.

He did. The name still shows up in the profile summary of course - you can't edit that one -  but I suppose that's LL's responsibility ;)

I'm not absolutely convinced she gave him her real real name anyway. It looks a bit like the Spanish-American equivalent to "Jane Doe" to me,

His ex-chick is an escort, and advertises that freely, kinda sounds an awful lot like services exchanged for services...except one party got super attached...and the other didn't.

Still...wish him well in his endeavors in sl, whatever they may be :)

Dude, your SL account was only created 9 weeks ago.  That is an awfully short time to find someone, fall in love, and get SL married (which your Picks imply).  You should have been seeing red flags everywhere.  Based on your ex's profile and your short time here, I'm figuring that you are really pissed at yourself (or should be) for being so gullible and you are just redirecting that anger.  Own your mistakes; try not to make the same ones going forward, and move on with your SLife.

Heh, this reminds me of a thread earlierthis year where some guy demanded that LL "change their policies" because it was "unfair" that officers in land groups could ban him from the region for spending several weeks chatting their girlfriends up.

And then he complained that after going to a titty-bar and trying to chat up an escort, and her telling him she charged by the hour, he complained publicly that she was charging, and got banned by the bouncer.

There seems to be this idea that if you CHOOSE to buy something for a female avatar, that then you OWN the female. Buy a mesh body for a sl-hooker, you OWN the hooker, and you don't get charged and she can't have other customers, never mind that her profile says 'escort'.

/me shrugs...

Isn't that a little bit like the "nice guys", who complain that women aren't becoming their girlfriends, no matter how "nice" they are to them?

Seems like I missed some true comedy gold here. Damn you, different timezones! And honestly...seeing his reaction to her actions makes me feel like he deserved to get his hearth broken. I bet, if his ex-girlfriend would have a word here, the story would sound completely different.

One of these types again?

From what has been quoted thus far I feel quite safe in saying the following:

  • No fraud of any kind occurred.
  • The only lie told was to yourself.
  • You believe yourself to be above the rules.
  • You have a very skewed view on relationships.
  • You have somewhere in your profile, a clause concerning no drama.

I miss anything?
