Ladies - what do you think about sex in SL?

Recommended Posts

I have had SL sex a few times with the same person.  And while I was into that person, I really didn't get into the avatars bumping uglies like Atosuria said.  It seems pointless to me too because it's nothing like the real thing.  I just figured with my luck all the girls would be into it.  Nice to see that some of them are not.

Well... the "bumping uglies" bit depends on several components, I'd say. Avatar appearence, surrounding, quality of the animations, just to name the most obvious ones.
Perhaps you'd like to sign up at FlickR and browse all those groups and profiles dedicated to "SL Porn" and you'll probably come across some very nice sights.

On the other hand, there are "text only" interest groups inworld and those can lead to some intriguing scenes, no doubts. But at least for my liking, SL is a visual medium, so composing sets and playgrounds is like half the fun of the whole affair.

The most fun I ever had with SL sex was with my ex partner, we would often have our avis pixil humping while we would be carrying on a conversation in some group chat with sexually suggestive language, giving out subtle hints as to what was happening to see if anyone else could figure it out. He was not very comfortable with the whole sexual emoting thing, and I am not either, so we didn't do it much. I think both of us were happy not have the pressure to perform.

To me, SL sex is like a sex scene in a movie, sometimes it fits the story and enhances it,

Oh .. also... if you really want to have a good laugh, and you practice your skills a lot to "become good at it", ask them to voice when you'r done... a large number of females are in fact males.... and lot of males are female :)

I've noticed a fairly strong correlation between the size of breast and the likely hood they are in real life Billy-bob a trucker from Arkansas.

Not sure if the OP's original topic question was a cleverly disguised (deniable) invitation to SL sex with the "ladies", or just funny.

As I recall from the days when Ato regularly hung out at the same place I did, her main defence against bumping uglies were that a) she wore these ballgowns with skirts 6-8 m wide and 10-15 m long with Lovecraftian hairs from Tekeli'Li, and b) was one of the trio of Dommes known as 'Team Evil'...

Armoured Ballgown of Cthulhu Worshiping Immensity Domme, Germanic Female Bodybuilder Ponygirl Hunting Domme, and 8ft Tall Jet-Pack Propelled Edwardian Cyber-Vampire Domme ("Wings are SO last millennium...")

These three cheerfully kept the place free from "50 Shades of Vanilla Faux Masters" and were always entertaining to watch.

Happy times... Good to see Ato at least is still about.

I try to think of it as just a very casual thing, its just a game, it lets you explore some stuff sexually in a very safe manner and its quite nice to explore sometimes. It can be very interactive, or it can be a matter of sitting back and letting someone else do all the work, sometimes it literally just so something is going on while youre both semi-AFK.

There are people who view it in a very similar manner to sex in real life, and keep it very private and get really into it, and then there are those like myself who see it as a game where its just kinda "whatever, why not?". I have met people who are very much so against it, and those who think the game revolves around it. Theres a very broad spectrum of opinions on SL sexuality out there and how people treat it.

So in my case, all i really see is some erotic animations and explicit chat logs, theres just not much to it where i feel any kind of connection or seriousness with it.

This topic is kinda old but I didn't see any responses that quite match what I had in mind. Here's my two cents!

I don't think I'd ever actually get off to it. However, when my boyfriend and I were first checking out this game, we came across some furniture with naughty options and we tried it out just for kicks. It was hilarious. He started out in the female's position and we almost never lined up properly, so we used the "adjuster" to make ourselves float around and contort in weird ways. Also, swapping roles rapidly makes your avatar freak out which is equally hilarious. I love my bf but he's absolutely terrible at dressing and undressing in this game, so half the time he was either wearing a pair of boxers over his pants or his lower half was invisible because of the alpha layers, lol. Good times.

Besides humor, it does inspire me with some new positions to try out. I think SL is also a pretty good place to indulge in kinks that you can't/won't pursue in the real world. The whole concept of sex on SL doesn't strike me as any different from animated porn or hentai - which by the way - can rarely compare to the quality of some mesh bodies I've seen, so... There's that too.

I like it. But at a distance. It can't become something that's about my real life, since I'm not looking for a partner. Somewhere along the line, the focus became 'Voice" and I'm not into giving some guy free phone sex. I thought it was weird back in the 90s when people were going broke paying for it and I think it's weird now. To each their own, but I wish it hadn't become so much about that.

been there, RPed sexuallly, been partnered, my RL ex joined me in SL so we could hang out when we couldn´t in RL, I gave classes on sexual RP, too

I´ve always been a mid-paragraph RPer with the fitting visualisation, going there with very few people.  A friend chased me around a sim once because I was admin to an adult sim and didn´t "get any" for weeks and weeks  (well... not my fault if there´s no decent material out there no matter how many times we offered classes on all kinds of topics B| )

I will not go back there, though... it´s just... well yeah... and I got together with my absolute dream of a man in RL so for SL that´s impossible to beat :P

How many of you ladies are into SL sex?  Just wondering if I need to get good at it or not.

Me loves some good old cliches.

Any, just like men. There's no difference. We like sex too.

The difference is more about the importance and impact. For males, SL sex tends to have more impact and importance than for females.

A pleasurable impact that doesn't miss the spot is important too. And vice versa, I guess?

It's all "theater of the mind"

I know I don't meet the initial requirements to post here, but I'm gonna toss in anyway. (Yeah, I'm that kinda guy sometimes.)

It is exactly all "theatre of the mind". It has to be simply because you aren't in physical contact with your partner. But what about real sex isn't also "theatre of the mind"? If it's just a quickie, or perhaps paid performance in RL then it comes off empty and hollow. Unless your mind is engaged from the start, you'd probably rather be eating french fries.

IMO all the gizmos and gadgets in SL are generally for the male half (of an M/F coupling). Men in those situations tend to rely very heavily on the visual aspects. It helps us get our minds in gear. A good physical appearance of the female partner can engage the brain full speed quickly. But it's been my experience that most females need to build their own internal images. They want to "see" and "feel" from the words that come from their partner. Just seeing a neat gizmo or a bed with fancy animations can help start the mood, but unless the commentary runs smoothly, is descriptive and imaginative .. pass the ketchup.

To the OP: If your aim is to have SLex then yeah, you need to get good at it. I'd recommend picking up some romance novels and reading them as though they were study guides. Being able to form an entire scene in your own mind then communicate it clearly? An absolute must.

Dark Gods of the Grid! No!

There are few things as off-putting as somebody attempting to para-rp in a mode that comes across as...

"An Unemployed 1950's Mills & Boon True Romance author, writing the script for a 1970's American porno movie, in the style of Emily Bronte" (tm)

:S

Hahahaha!! That's not exactly what I meant! I said to use them as study guides, not "Quick Quotes to Pick Up Chicks".

Study how the author of a good novel constructs the scene. Understand how to set an image, populate it with important details, push the action forward. Like viewing the works of Master Artists to understand how they use pigment, shadow, tension and contrast to render an image of interest and value. You can't just "connect the dots" and get the same results.

Ahhhhh.... Sorry... it's just that your previous post said 'romance novels' not 'good novels'...

I have to agree with Klytyna on that -- 99% of all romance novels out there are pure rubbish.  Men should most definitely not try to mimic any of that crap.

Like, for example, books 2 & 3 in the Fifty Shades series? To me they felt a little .. "forced".
