ZoaEroiKirei Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Hey guys, I recently rented a skybox. How can someone not cam on me inside my skybox? I have a security box in it but I still see the same guy camming on me after I got the box On. Does blocking him work? I tried to access the Avatars on other parcels can see and chat with avatars on this parcel but unfortunately I can't. Any helpful informations and suggestions please? Thanks in advance.
Tari Landar Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 You need to ask the person who actually owns the land/skybox you're renting to check that setting. As a renter, unless given land rights, you cannot do this on your own. Most landlords/landowners are more than willing to do this for you Actually many do it automatically now, but some might not, and some might have forgotten to check it, it happens. 4
Alwin Alcott Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 little addition, skyboxes sometimes/often are rented out as multiple boxes stacked above eachother. You can not prevent the camming in that case. If it bothers you to see it, disable the visibility of the cam crosshairs. 3
Nova Convair Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Just to throw in another possibility. Even if camming between parcels is locked I could: - make my camera crosshair visible ( I hope the op knows that it can be made invisible ) - then lock my camera at you ( even if I can't see you ) - go and get some coffee. - I could do that if I'd plan to tick someone off that watches camera targets crosshairs and has issues with that. 3
Bree Giffen Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Just ask to get the invisible to others option turned on. Any good rental owner will do it. You could always find a new place if they don't. 1
BilliJo Aldrin Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 I guess it helps to be an exhibitionist. Someone is watching? Oh cool, lets rezz him a chair and invite him over. 2
Paul Hexem Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 SL wasn't really designed with privacy in mind. LL has added a couple features over the years, but they'll never really stop someone that's determined.
LittleMe Jewell Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 And keep reminding yourself that it is just a pixel body. Nobody is really watching "you" naked or doing anything.
