Hey there. I am a member for a week and i found some things from youtube and some tutorials from different websites but i am really behind and i need help to learn more things about this game and maybe find some cool stuff like better clothes etc. I understand alot about the movement, the camera and a different viewers but about the actual game i know few things.

Its interesting game but its too complicated and someone who is new like me is hard to understand even the basics so if someone have the time and want to help me please send me friend request in game.

Start exploring to get a feel for the world and what is out there.  Find some places in the destination guide that look interesting and go visit them.  There may or may not be others there when you visit, but it will still provide an opportunity for you to see the variety of things that are available and have been created.  Some places will have a 'greeter' that may offer information about the location and/or a group associated with it.  If you like the place, join the group to keep updated on activities there and to be able to chat with others that might have the same interests as you.  There is also a 'newcomer friendly' section in the destination guide - those are good places when you're first starting out - they often have more information and help available.   You can also use the in-world search in the viewer to find places that might interest you.  Just going out and visiting places will also help you refine your navigation skills and may lead to meeting other people as well.

Yes, go out and explore, that's the best advice. You probably don't want to pay too much attention to the destination guide though - not unless you are especially interested in old builds from the early days of Second Life. ;)

The newcomer friendly section is an exception to that rule. NCI, the Shelter, Oxbridge and Helping Haven are all great help centers for newcomers, all run by unpaid volunteers. You definitely want to go to one of those.

Second Life is not a game as such. It's a platform where people play lots of different games (usually fairly low key role playing) and also occasionally do more "serious" business. It's very hard to recommend anything in particular since it depends a lot on what your interests are.

Some of those old builds are still really fabulous.

Oh, definitely yes. Not necessarily those listed in the destination guide though and besides, it's unlikely they are the first things a newcomer want to see.

You want to learn about SL, get out into SL and learn about it.

Personally I'd advise AGAINST looking ion the laughably named 'knowledge base', as a lot of it can only be classed at exhibits from an anthropological museum of how SL residents were, back in the digital stone age when prims had to be hand knapped from virtual flint...

There are pages in there that tell you with some authority, the names and sizes of the 'micro-continents' many of which haven't existed for years, like the tropical girls only island paradise of 'Mare Lesbiana'.

It's where a 2013 Linden Live chat worker dredged up a page from 2009 stating there were no 'server classes' in SL, let alone class 8 servers, at a time when in fact, class 8 servers made up more than 20% of the grid. There are still people who'll tell you there's no such thing as a class 8 server because the 2009 post says theres no classes anymore.

Knowledge bases and wikis are only as good as the willingness of people to go in there with a machete and chop out the old dead wood.

In SL's case, nobody ever does.

I'm having a difficult time to understand what it is exactly, that you need help with. I mean...if someone overs you a friend request, how can that person help you?

Explore around inworld, check out the marketplace to see what kinda things you can have / make in Second Life. Try visiting the "newcomer friendly" destinations such as NCI, Firestorm Support region, etc, they usually have helpers that can help you with your questions directly. Join helping inworld groups such as NCI's group, builder's brewery, or groups of the places you like to visit. And if there are more things you need to know, you can always ask around in the forum :)
